You simply haven't got a clue what you are talking about. Just watch what Lewis did with the jab against Tua. Also see how he just kept his longer left arm out there in front of Tua, as both an obstacle for Tua to try to get past, and a range finder.

That would also be the case with post exile Ali. He would be giving away almost 3 inches in height, 6 inches in wingspan, and 25 - 30lbs in weight. There is no way post exile Ali can hit and move like he did up until 67, and he isn't strong enough to grab Lennox by the back of the head and pull him down to lean on him. The only advantage he would have is hand speed, but not in power punches.

I really don't trust Ali vs. the best from 1978 on. I'm not saying he'd lose them all, but he wouldn't sweep either. Nor do I trust any of the guys he beat--prime Liston would do well, but not the guy with the shoulder problem who fought Ali.

Pre-exile Ali lacked size, strength, power, and discipline. His bad habits such as hanging his chin out for a left hook would haunt him against certain fighters.

Pre exile Ali actually was more disciplined than post exile.. he always was in great shape. and he wasn't weak by any stretch of the imagination, or small really. Power was always a weakness of Ali's but he made up for it in other ways.

He would be considered small by today's standards and weak too. He had discipline issues throughout his career, worse when he was older. I mean training and in-ring focus.

By this theory all heavies from the 60s/70s would be small and weak. Ali wasn't either of those though. And youre wrong about ali having discipline issues pre exile.

No bigger than Haye or Holyfield. Weaker than both.

ali would tear right through haye and decision holy.

what are you trying to claim here?

Arnold Schwarznegger is much stronger than ali but hes not going to last more than 1 rounds in the ring with him.

I think there is a very strong case for Holyfield to beat the post exile Ali tbh. Though I personally wouldn't pick him, but I can see how some folks might. For sure Ali isn't going to stop him, and if you think Frazier made Ali work hard, Holy is gonna give him nightmares.

Well not exactly. Ali was able to man handle frazier, foreman, norton, lyle, liston and chuvalo in the clinch. He wasnt exactly a weak heavyweight, he was naturally bigger than both haye and holyfield. I still think he is probably taller and stronger than holy and haye, who both became a heavyweight via weight training and modern nutrition. Remembee they were both cruisers when they started out (holy was even a light heavy when he started!) If ali was around today, he would probably be a little bigger himself due to these factors.

Post exile, there's a possibility depending on which version of Ali shows up. Take the best versions - Frazier I, Norton II, foreman, quarry, frazier II, etc. He would still be very competitive with prime Holy.

Think about it. Holy was no frazier. He gave his ideal performances when he was on the outside, sharpshooting. Yes he had plenty of wars, but in these wars he took a lot of punishment and got hurt often. Bowe II is his finest performance. Cooper is not.

Against even post exile Ali, holy cant try to box on the outside. He will get picked apart. Bowe's jab gave holy hell, Ali's will be even worse. I cant see holyfield's defense being good enough to avoid those crisp combos of Ali.

Of course Holy has that dog in him, he'll grit down and bring it to Ali on the inside with his great left hook. But id still pick Ali on points, possibly late stpppage if he really puts it on
