Muhammad Ali vs Max Baer

Ali would school him.

 

Baer's best win was at 203, he won the title at 209 1/2, defended it at 210 1/2 and lost it at 210. When he came up thru the ranks all the way thru the above sequence saw him at 210 1/2 at the highest. He was often low 200's at his best.

 

To be fair, with his frame and the right strength and conditioning regime, he could probably add another 7 - 8 lbs of functional muscle to his frame and really ramp up his explosiveness.

However, he would still have the same backfist mechanics and very workmanlike punching mechanics - if anything, more muscle could make him less smooth in his combination punching, I suppose.

 

Pretty sure and the left hook, not the right hand, was Ali’s vulnerability and only Frazier, an elite left hooker, turned the trick after Ali had entered his prime.

 

Ali on Points. He can definitely stop Baer too.

 

Baer's face would be a pro rasslin' style "crimson mask" when this is stopped about the 9th round.
