If a 37 year old Holmes who had been out of the ring for three years can take rounds off mike then a prime Ali is a different sport. I like Mike I really do , but he won alot of fights before the 1st bell sounded , Ali would have been doing the intimidating. Liston , Foreman & Frazier were all a little better than Mike .
Tyson would knock out ali. Frazier knocked down Ali hurt him badly throughout their first fight albeit in the later rounds. Tyson would put on the hurt really early in the fight and Ali would simply be overwhelmed and get knocked out.
Tyson by TKO... Tyson had equal speed and crazy movement. He would get in and harm Ali. Iron Mike via 11rd TKO.
I like Ali... But mike has a tendency towards being humble always. All of this goes out the window when Ali lands that first shot and pisses mike off. Mike kills Ali. Don't go by what Tyson is saying here doing his "humble" routine. Mike knows deep down, he breaks Ali.
Ha ha, well...there was a heavy hitting guy named Sonny Liston Ali whooped twice but Liston was no Tyson that's for sure.
ha tyson personal life was mess at the douglas fight, and add that he was partying doing drugs etc..and was young boy who taught he was immortal add these elements and that tyson barely trained for that figh. That was not anywhere near prime mike. PRIME mike would cause PRIME ali big problems, only slightly favoring ali because he got jaw and will made out of titanium.
I think you're focusing on Danny Williams/Kevin McBride era Tyson. Prime Tyson outboxed big, dangerous guys such as Smith, Green and Tucker, going the full distance and barely losing a round.
Tyson was not a 6 round fighter, maybe later on when he was proper past it. If he was just a 6 round fighter he would have lost his desicions to ruddock, tucker, green ect. And your on crack if you think a 67 ali would stop him in 3 rounds!!! I give 70s ali a much better chance with his holding tactics. No one is stopping an 80s tyson in 3 rounds, you need to give him a beat down over rounds and rounds. As for who would win, does it really matter?
Definately stamina issues. Punching from the bleachers. Even in his early days and in fights that he won, he struggles past 6 rounds. He had a dificult time relaxing. 6 ROUND FIGHTER. Taylor made for Ali. Also Tyson was very sloppy bobber/weaver --- not smooth at all. Those jerky movements are not good. Very stiff --- also depletes his energy sooner. Also too short. Short reach. a target. Now if you cant figure this out, thats your problem.
