I am one who holds no bias against modern fighters, that being said you can literally look at my previous post and compare and contrast both fighters. Overall Ali imo looks better and not only does he look better, he looks better against Liston, who is better than Chisora. If Ali and Usyk fought it would be a great chess match to watch though

What I dislike about Usyk is that he doesn't keep his jab hand low for feinting and doesn't jab as much and he also doesn't have a solid counterpunch ,what I mean by that is something like James Toney's rear uppercut,Mayweather and Duran's pull counter, Josh Taylor and Errol Spence's lean back slip out left hand etc. if you catch my drift , imo Ali or Larry Holmes would beat Usyk boxing behind a jab.

Very interesting fight. Best version of Ali has one distinct advantage most of Usyk's opponents didn't — especially not the clods at heavyweight.

Ali can dictate terms of engagement and business hours in a way no guy on Oleksandr resume could.

Joshua was well equipped to attempt at it, but his long guard while decent, doesn't measure up to the one of Foreman or Klitschko. He could use punch traffic, frames, traps etc. to control the pace, but I reckon Usyk understood Joshua's style better than he himself did. Muhammad is a different case altogether. He has absolutely elite reflexes, footwork, and conditioning, and he isn't going to settle for subpar circumstances, resetting and pulling in the moment something doesn't go his way.

Then again, Usyk being an ATG southpaw means Ali is in a world of pain, because bar Mildenberger he hasn't fought a lot of those.

Usyk was not faster, didn't have better stamina. Ali fought in the 15-round era, so I'll give him the better stamina. Prime Ali before he went to prison barely got hit because of the elite foot work and head movement Ali had. Usyk gets hit a lot at HW. Ali also has more KO's than Usyk has wins lol. So how does he have more power? Ali definitely has the better chin! This is not even close.

Ali has a lower KO % in less (by %) high level fights. Percentages are a better metric for which to gauge power than raw number of KOs. Mayweather has more KOs than Inoue has had fights. That's not to say I think Usyk has better power (or to say the opposite).

This is really an impossible one to call. Knee jerk reaction is to think or course Ali would win...but would he?
The style clash here is hard to read, it would come down to who could time who better. Neither man has an obvious strength that could play into the other's weakness. They are both so great at making the mid fight adjustments.

Usyk fought for his country, Clay didn’t. Usyk wins.

Ali was never offered a chance to fight for his country- Only against the people of Vietnam.

Ali is more courageous by putting his title and freedom on the line for his beliefs. Ali refused to fight an immoral and illegal war that was waged on the Vietnamese when they fought their colonizers. Have respect for the man since he no longer wanted to be called Clay when these events took place.
