Your previous post didn't say anything about weight. You claimed that Ali fought guys who weren't even six feet tall, and now that he listed Ali's opponents who were 6+ feet tall, you're trying to move the goalposts by talking about weight.

klit****, you were unlucky that I was logged out so I could see your post for once (you are still on ignore despite your attempts to reply to me)

ANd why are you unlucky that I was logged out? Because now you have to deal with a reply, this one - klittaard, can you think of any 6 foot 7 and a half 250 lbs fighters in the 70s that existed for ali to fight?

Much like the non-existent insane flying sphagetti god that you must worship, if theres no evidence for something, that means you have no evidence to suggest anything about it. It doesn't mean that you blindly believe in your flying sphagetti monster God - that's stupid. There is IN FACT no evidence to suggest that a 250 lb fighter would beat specfically Ali.

It is up to you to support your claim with facts. Either do it or fail and crawl back under the klittaard stone you crawled out from.

The point IS that there was nobody with anywhere near the size combined with skill and toughness that Vitali possessed. There are plenty of guys Ali's size that Vitali has been in the ring with. Advantage, IMO, to Vitali in this match up.
That being said, Vitali never encountered somebody with the particular skill set of Ali. For people to claim others are idiots for their opinions in these things is absurd. Would it be shocking if Ali's speed and foot movement were too much for Vitali? No. Would it be a shock if Vitali's height, strength, reach and competitiveness were to much for the 212 lb Ali? Only to guys who have the nostalgia glasses on. It would be a absolutely monumental task for Ali to pull that off in my opinion. I favor the BIG Ukranian in this silly fantasy match up. Could I be wrong? Sure. Insult me, call me a "Klit****", put me on your ignore list (cant handle it?) all you want, but thats my opinion and I am god dam.ned entitled to it.

Oh my, I am sooo unlucky. I made a point that Ali never fought anyone the size of Klitschko, and you pointed out there werent any to fight at that time, which was exactly my point. Wow, you blew my mind. Whatever shall I do? You sure schooled me. Man, I cant believe how unlucky I am. Guess Ill have to climb back under my Klittaard rock and watch a replay of Haye running from Wladimir again, or Hide flopping to Vitali, or the Staples Center cheering wildly for Vitali as he points at Lewis from atop the ropes, Or Danny Williams crashing to the floor over and over...

Vitali's wide stance and keeping his head upright would leave him considerably disadvantaged against Ali.

Because of the wide stance I can't see how he would be able to counter Ali's mobility.

Shot Lewis? Oh please, he was at his heaviest but he wasn't looking shot at all before that fight. Lewis retired before becoming shot.

I agree with this man, no true indication LL was shot, its an excuse used by some Brits to explain why their man couldn't dominate Vitali, quite different to the one sided matches LL had before facing Vitali.

Actually LL was pretty fit in that fight and sustained a good workrate, watch rounds 5 and 6, I admired his guts (even more so Vitali's) thus twas a shame he decided out of the blue to call it a day. He probably knew why :yep and by doing so he in effect paved the way for a decade of Klitschko dominance. If you complain about too much KLitschko from 2004 or so on, go write a letter of complaint to LL.

A match like LL vs Vitali deserved to become a triology, at least, when i think of Bowe vs Holyfield or LL vs Holyfield or even MUCH worse Ruiz vs Holyfield, each time on these occasions there was a sequel to the first fight, often unneccesarily so (ruiz holy hahaha) but LL vs Klitschko was the fight that truly deserved to become a sequel.

Liston was out boxed in the first fight it was on the level. If you want to compare opponents who gave Ali trouble where do you want me to start with Wlad and Vitali? Christ even Chisora gave Vitali trouble. The five you've mentioned there against Ali were all good fighters,Young Lyle and Norton are better than anything Lewis apart either Klit has faced.
So you've never witnessed Ali throwing lightning fast combinations? I don't think I need to say anything more.

you know why too, virtually every other HW champ in history had retired by 38. If you think Lewis should act differently to them, you are the one going against the grain and trying to ice skate uphill.

But I never said they weren't famous before they fought Ali, I said they only became HOFers from fighting Ali. My theory stands.
