Well I do think Marciano could've beaten Ali. It's a matter of styles. I think Frazier and Foreman would have always kicked Rocky's ass but Rocky would be able to beat Ali at least in their first fight. Smaller fighters always posed problems for Ali and Marciano would be the hardest hitting little guy he would have faced, couple that with the deceptively effective Matciano defense and I don't see Ali winning (at least not their first fight).

I see where you're coming from but Rocky wasn't as good as Frazier.

Ali didn't have trouble with smaller fighters...like Henry Cooper.

cooper knocked him down and almost stopped him, do you have any knowledgee of boxing

Ali admitted himself that Marciano was better than Frazier in the video

every greatest boxerof all time list has Marciano above Frazier and in the top 10, whereas Frazier is nowhere near the top 10

Many people don't know about the 'Super Fight', a computer simulation that tried to predict the outcome of Ali vs. Marciano http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_Fight

"The computer had determined that Marciano would knock Ali out in the 13th round and the film was edited to present that outcome"

I remember reading Ali wasn't happy with the outcome of the simulation.

he was 19 years old when he was dropped by cooper, big deal.

Ali would have wrecked Marciano and had his face looking like henry coopers.

Ali wasnt gonna talk about a dead Rocky Marciano, he was being humble...

If that's your opinion about the fight cool. I don't agree but to each their own. However, the words humble and Ali should never be in the same sentence.

Ali sparring with Marciano long after Marciano retired. In his book he said that he could not believe the power of Marciano. He said that before Rocky's death. Don't forget Norton broke Ali's jaw, Frazier beat him in their first fight and the other two were close wars. Eddie Futch stopped the fight and Frazier never forgave him. Jimmy Young, well, many though he beat Ali, etc. Ali was still a great fighter though. He was small compared to today's huge heavyweights, so was Joe Louis. Ali was never the same after his layoff. In his later career, he did not train properly either, as he admitted. Ali had a good chin, underrated chin, great jab and right hand. His left hook was not good at all though.

Ali was almost 6'4, and with today's modern nutrition and weight lifting, could be very comfortable at 220-225.

Prime Ali got floored by two journeymen. Marciano would have pummelled him.

Marciano was a cruiserweight, but Ali was a light heavyweight at the beginning of his career. They were really the same size. And size doesn't matter anyway.

Problem is Ali was never into nutrition and working out. Not due to the lack of scientific knowledge, but due to lack of discipline. Let's face it, half his career Ali was a lazy sack of sh** who lived off his talent and the weakness of his opposition rather than his discipline in and outside the gym.
