I reckon choc v dan dawson is a possibility.

    Who manages dawson?...altamura.
Which manager has choc apparently signed with in the usa?...cam dunkin.
Who co-manages paul fleming?....altamura and dunkin
Who was pictured together in the usa? Altamura, choc, dunkin.

    Done deal. :)

I dont think Mundine and Rose should be mentioned in the same sentence Lionel was a true World Champion and never took a backward step and was all Class both inside and outside the ring, the other bloke has a heart as Big as a Pea and is a bloody disgrace.!!!!

"Can the Knights keep a hold on the Johns boys? - 14 Aug 1997, Illawarra Mercury
The people of Newcastle are facing a crisis. There's no threat of another devastating earthquake. Nor is BHP poised to follow their earlier lead and completely close their operations in the Hunter. The crisis is in rugby league. And it revolves around an unthinkable scenario for Newcastle Knights fans - losing Matthew and Andrew Johns to another club. The Knights' dynamic midfield duo come off contract this year and as they will be in hot demand. There is said to be more than a dozen clubs interested in the Johns brothers, either separately or as a package deal. Some of the reported offers have been staggering. Andrew, now rated one of the top five players in the world, can command more than $650,000 a season while Matthew, also an international, will cost a club around $500,000."

You got a link proving Mundine was on $600k a season, numbnuts?

    I agree with this!

I was really looking forward to the Trout fight but he is right that Trout is an unknown quantity in the States and the move to Top Rank presents many more options than a bout with Trout.

all speculation mate, there are plenty of links that state mundine was the highest paid player when he left in 2000,

hahaha the first 2 links are the exact same article that simply say "turned down a contract that would have set a new NRL salary record."

The Wiki article says "Before his move to boxing he was the highest paid player in the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NRL"]
    This content is protected
    [/ame].
    This content is protected
" - when you click on the '2' for verification guess where it takes you? That's right, to the bottom of the Wiki page to the referenced links, which then takes you to the article in your second link

Your fourth link makes no mention of his NRL salary, but it does say he wants to fight JCC jr at MW and then Wlod at CW

Your fifth link is once again a repeat of the article used in the first 2 links

Your sixth link has Mundine stating ''In 1998, I signed a $600,000 deal and was the highest paid player in the game." Since when has Mundine himself been a bastion of truth? See the article about him wanting to fight JCC jr and Wlod above for evidence of his honesty

You call my link speculation and all you've got to "prove" your claim is the same article repeated 4 times, one article that makes no mention of his NRL salary whatsoever, and an article where he himself says he was paid that much

You're ****ing kidding mate, you haven't got a fcking clue you dumb cnt

Whats cash got to do with it..Back in the super league/ARL days players were being paid ridiculous amounts....I know for a fact Penriths so so winger Robbie boom boom Beckett was on 450grand a yr for 2yrs during that time...He was generally a 160-220k a yr player at absolute most...

    Money doesnt mean ****...

Face it mate choc was an exceptional player. Even his biggest critics on this site have atleast admitted that. And just because u dislike him wont change that fact.

Who ****ing cares....he quit footy cause he is a spoilt sook (achieved nothing overly notable up to that time) and went onto to use his exemplary athletic abilities to become Australia's most celebrated mediocre boxer of our generation (probably all time judging by his bank account).

    Exceptional attacking player indeed...
But like his boxing career lacks much substance...
