You beat me to it Ash, haha! I remember Codrington dropping Bika.

Well in terms of power, Mundine did drop Geale in his last fight. Flash knockdown I agree, but it was off a lead hook, so that shows at least something about his power. Mundine's power punching form hasn't been impressive of the last 18 months, but what he showed to Geale to me was that at least he has the capability to inflict damage.

If Bika exposes himself as he oftens does and Mundine's timing is right, he can knock him out.

It can be considered a silly hypothetical as I'm quite surprised it was raised as a potential fight given them being in different divisions.

Bika hasn't fought for 8 months, only twice in over 18 months, so his inactivity may also be a concern should they fight.

Good point about the ring rust :good

One interesting thought is the producer of the contender owns Bikas and he is now talking with Mundine about him fighting the aussie winner....this make me think that Bika vs Mundine could just be made :think

Dont think it could be before the aussie contender winner....maybe 8 or 10 months time.

Hey Ash what boxer have you been watching over the last 2 years, Mundine has zero power and comparing him to Codrington is really boring, Codrington's last 5 wins have either been by TKO or KO....Mundines hasn't been this close in 2 years....FARK SAKE stop making whopping ass licking statements, man if Mundine rented out his ******* he would be constantly changing the locks to keep sqauters like you out............

Since the Soliman 2 fight, Mundine has not been able to hurt ANY of his opponents. And please don't mention the Clavero KO. That was the most laughable KO I have ever seen from a fighter who clearly dogged it.

Agree the Geale KD was just a flash KD that caught him off balance more than anything, and prior to that Mundine hasn't even come close to hurting, let alone knocking down any of his opponents.

And lets not forget about the quality of these opponents either. Fair enough if he can't put a dent against a top contender, . . . .however these are NOT top fighters, . . . these are BUMS. The guy is fighting blown-up welterweights, cab drivers and journeymen and can't even put a dent into them. So lets not even talk about potential stoppages of REAL contenders like Bika.

Bika would completely whoop Mundine...there is not a hope in hell this fight will be made. Mundines defence was tested and exposed against Geale and Pintos! Doesn't anyboby remember Pintos stepping over Mundine and popping him with over hand rights...pitty the little guy didn't have any power.
I could see Mundine losing this match on body shots alone in under 8. More likely to end in Mundine seeing stars by round 10.
Use your imagination though and the real Anthony Mundine shines through turning his back constantly and complains of kidney punches, turns his head constantly and sooks about being punched in the back of the head.
It would be a big step up for Mundine aginst a world class second tier fighter...

Agree he's lots that KO power ATM but if you asked Geale he would tell you he was hurt at least 3 or 4 times during the fight.

When do you predict Mundine will get back that knockout feeling going on in his boxing.....the guy is heading rapidly towards the veteran boxing (journeyman) stage of his career.

Speaking of knockout power, has Mundine even opened up a cut on any copetitors in recent times???
The idea of Mundine imposing his awsome knockout power on Bika is knee trembling...

.........since when does power accumulate to cuts?? Seen blokes get cuts via left jabs from sparring partners wearing 16 oz gloves.

Bika is too physically strong for Mundine. Mandy likes to dictate the pace and can do this against shot light middleweights such as Taylor. Against Bika, he would be forced to work the full 3 minutes every round. Mundine might do better against other fighters than Bika, but head to head no, he does not have the power to keep him off, he has never looked either comfortable or willing in the trenches. It would be crude , messy, but Bika stops him, decisively and without much trouble.
