A very accurate report. Mundine is a very skilled boxer, with shitful money making managers... this does frustrate all and sundry...

The boxing game is full of many in the same boat... Mundine is just another with the same mis-guidance..

Little can be taken from his losses.

A great deal can be said of the potentials, most of which have not been met...

Dont blame his skills, or dismiss them.

Mundine is, and has always been a joke. Along with an embarrassment to Australia.

    50% well said....

He doesnt handle the media too well.... not spoken well enough, and the media thrive on him opening his trap. His second BIGGEST downfall, managers being the first!!!

He is a much different bloke, when away from the spotlight, and very humble, for the sake of normal conversation. Had a long time chatting with him at Jack Rennies gym, prior to the Stenton fight... and HE is a top bloke. Watch Snr and Jnr mixing it for a few rounds... a great pleasure to see.... and both great in thier owns rights.

Mundine's chance at being rated highly has come and gone. From what I've seen of him in the last year and a half, he has declined.
He gets hit too often now, and he has the power of a Monty Burns pitch.

2 years ago, I would have picked him to do Pavlik, and I'm not just saying that because he got humiliated by Hopkins, I've always said that Pavlik was a hype job waiting to be exposed. It would have been a close fight, but I believe he would have come out on top.
Nowdays, he'd probably lose a UD by running all night. He'd get hurt too often and get on his bike and make it his mission to see out the bell.

he may still beat Sturm, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not really much to get excited about.

He's definitely declined in the last couple of years. Still, he has a shot at Sturm next and it's a winnable fight for him.

Mundine in my opinion was at his best in 2005/06 when he fought Kessler, Soliman 2 and Danny Green.

If he headed to the states there and then i think he wld have beaten Sturm and possibly Pavlik. However, i truly believ he's on the slide watching his last 4-5 fights. OK he had the eye infection along with the biccep injury which may have hindered his progress, but he'll be 34yrs old soon and playing Rugby League for many years may have just taken its toll on his body.

He'll lose a close points decision to Sturm if they fight in Germany this year.
