    Mundine agrees to rematch with Geale

    ANTHONY Mundine yesterday announced he will bow to pressure and fight Daniel Geale in a rematch of the IBO middleweight world title won in controversial circumstances in Brisbane in May.

    The much-anticipated re-match decision follows an appeal by Geale's camp over the close defeat. The IBO has ordered the fight must take place before February 27 or Mundine faces being stripped of the title.

    "There are a few money issues that still need to be resolved. It should take place in early February, but just where is another sticking point," Mundine said after welcoming Leonard to Sydney for a series of charity fund raisers and the launch of a new video game.

    "Geale's a Tasmanian. It could be there. Right now it is just a matter of negotiating the best deal for both of us. But I believe the Geale camp see me as some sort of a cash cow."

    Mundine won a split decision over Geale but Geale lodged a protest claiming the judges did not score a knockdown, and that a Mundine supporter verbally intimidated a a judge.

    We would have to assume that all of the big O/S MWs (Pavlik, Sturm, Wright, etc) are ducking Mundine huh? :lol:

    I think when this fight is signed all the haters need to put the hand up and say they were wrong saying Mundine wont fight Geale again :hey

    If Geale vs ? and Mundine VS Lyell in Tazzy gets a good crowd then its a chance I guess.

    I'd be suprised if they didn't get a big crowd there for this card. I am sure Choc will receive a lovely welcome as well! :p

    Phil mate, any idea who is on the undercard. I know you said some good fights shaping up. Maybe Lenny Or Willy? And Does anyone know if Daniel is fighting a foreign fighter or Shannan Taylor?

    All of this is far from confirmed as everything is still in early stages but you could expect to see Medley and Taylor in separate bouts

    phil your mail is like a you got mail compared to our postman deliveries. if you dont know, it aint known. 21 october is what i heard and george is looking after the undercard what light can you add to that because I am still in the dark compared to you I just get little bits and pieces
