looking at the picture on sals #6 post , in the background of mundine lying on the canvas i 'm just posing a question to the forum .'' was garth woods old man gunna jump into the ring before the count had finished and hand mundine a win by disqualification or did billy hussein stop him by screaming out with a arm stop movement or am i just seeing things . what do ya reckon bobby sinn , ash , teke , sal, tcboxa ,etc.
In fairness, obviously the excitement was getting to the Wood's camp. Nat's a great bloke and I agree, when I saw the footage, he was terribly close to Mundine and far to close to the ring itself, banging on the apron. I think the exuberance he had for his brother with the fight got the better of him, but I defitnitely think there was no malice in it per say'. He's trained with his brother for this fight, helping drive him so I think it was just a case of excitement. And bloody hell, a fight should bring excitement shouldn't it? Nat's actions weren't even on the scale of the moron's who tried to intimidate the judges in the Mundine / Geale fight now were they? atsch Also, all you guy's on here should at the very least acknowledge the professionalism of Billy Hussein, he warned Wood's people back, waving them off and at the same time controlled his fighter and quickly waved him to the nuetral conrner in a good move as Garth was trying to what looked to appear half knee Choc on the way down and when Les Fear waved the fight off, Hussein quickly ran to Mundine and not his own fighter in order to help him, getting there before any ****er from the Mundine corner, such was the concern he had for him. And we can say what we want about Garth's performance, he wouldn't be half the fighter he is and have been in this position if it wasn't for Hussein's training. Billy lived and breathed this fight for 11months since Garth won the Contender in January and never once when at times I questioned him personally did he doubt that Garth could pull this off. It was good to see Garth acknolwedge Billy's training. Top notch.
