Pacquiao whilst promotionally signed to Top Rank, does ALL his shows as a 50/50 basis through MP Promotions with Top Rank, hence achieveing at least $27-$28m against Cotto once you take out Cotto's purse/operational costs/marketing expenses/u/card and the lovely big one Nevada hits with - Tax. MP Promotions and Top Rank split all costs and then profits for the show on a 50/50 basis.

Fair to say, Top Rank and MP Promotions make **** loads per show.

Not in the USA they don't, nowhere near it. That's how it is here in Australia because we only have one real PPV network who hold the control.

Networks in the USA (HBO / Showtime, etc) make their revenue by a small share of the PPV and the advertising/advertisements they sell associated to the show.

How do TV networks make money - viewers. Pac and Money May bring massive viewer numbers, hence more viewers. More viewers equal bigger ratings and bigger ratings equal more advertising revenue.
