I dont think Mundine fears the KO, he is slick enough to avoid the shot. He fears the fight. He fears the fact that particularly at this stage of his career, he can be outworked and out muscled. Gone are the days that he can hang on the ropes, or do laps around the ring running away from punches, and drop his hands to his waist and rely on his speed. He simply doesnt have it any more. This has nothing to do with movement. Every middleweight can move, some better than others, and mundine can too, he could still avoid the one punch KO quite well. But, over the course of a FIGHT, he will be outworked, outpunched and out manouvered by fighters like Geale and Sturm to name a couple. And somone like GGG would simply knock him the **** out.

Mundine avoiding KO fighters is simply not true. Mundine would have the speed and fitness to beat a one shot wonder. What he fears is being outworked, which is a real issue now that he's on the way out.

So you say you would pay to watch grass grow if the belts were on line?

Belts mean nothing. Its the fighters who are the draw cards. Mayweather can chuck all of his belts in the bin and he next fight would rate just as well.

Sturm is Geale's best fight and neutrals got bored to death watching that performance. Enough said.

    You make a good point!

I think the two keys to being PPV worthy are your personality (ability to self promote) and your style of fighting.

Many hispanic and european fighters lack the personality to generate their profile but make up for it in their style of fighting, e.g. Golovkin, Abraham, etc.

In Australia, Mundine and Green certainly have the self promoting piece down pat which has ensured their PPV success.

Both have quite an eye catching style of fighting (quite different to each other) when performing at their best, which generates interest in their fights, irrespective of their opponents.

Geale hasn't shown a great ability to self promote and his fighting style appeals only really to purists of the sport, which is probably why he didn't sell out his most recent fight in Tasmania.

I dunno how Geale can improve his marketability, but would certainly like him to do so.

One thing he certainly doesn't fall short in, is respect in the boxing world. Whether that improves his marketability is another question.

Sure. The all round better boxer bit. The bit where he says that he hurt Geale multiple times. He caught Geale off balance and Geale got up straight away. A hurt boxer tends to cover up and not offer many punches in return or hug it out with his opponent so he cant get hit with anything else. That didnt happen.

Normal people don't write stuff like this. You are a genuine weirdo. Congratulations porn addict.

    Agreed.

Mundine is a belt taker, that is what motivates him.

Come on Sox, he had him seated and defeated. Geale started fast and shocked Choc in round one. Unfortunately for you, shocking the worlds greatest athlete just bought out the will to win in him resulting in a knockdown and we ALL saw Geale go reeling from the body punishment Choc was dishing out.

Geale vs Sturm was a good fight.

You truly know nothing do you. Every post you try to make about boxing is laughable.

Geale had a better workrate in the first fight, Choc landed clean effective punches. There was little running about the ring in that fight, body movement is key and Choc has it. Geale thrives against upright classically trained boxers, Mundine has a slick more unorthodox style that Geale can't solve. You are an awful boxing analyst, please refrain from having a go at it again.

    :yep

    Nice pic brah.

Delusional post, he dropped Danny and hurt him a couple of times, most notably to the body. Geale backed up a lot when he was hurt like a true pro should, not show out like some lesser fighters.
