I think he did this in Brisbane when the police pulled him up in a Merc. Just getting his name in the paper trying to stay relevant.
Because when people like Mundine play the race card in situations like this all the time to get attention from the media it gets tired. Also probably makes people take less seriously genuine complaints of racism by Aboriginals.
If you're going to turn up at court to support someone wear something decent. I don't give rats if the were black, white, red or a mix of them all but they just look like bunch of dead**** bogans...
x2 Im suprized Mundine wasnt in a suit, bit dissrespectful to the courts imo, must be some honky dory sht they run at that court, magistrate wouldnt look at you to well if you turned up in a country court looking like that, prety much get the book thrown at you. I think its a bit disgraceful what Mundine has done, no doubt about where the money has come from and it sure as sht wasnt Mundine.
what I got from the article is that the car belonged to some one else who Mundine lent the money to. I know some of those boys from my footy days and they are good blokes. Dont judge a book by its cover.
There's some really pedantic criticism In this thread, to the point where you can't help question the racial undertones
It's far from pedantic to point out that the story Mundine gives conflicts with the statements made to police and yet he still thinks it's racism that led to his cousins arrest. Secondly - if a group of white people from Campbelltown turned up in the same dress to a court appearance you would be one of the first ****s on here to point out how inappropriate it is. The undertone of racism lies with you - this need to give Aboriginal people a free pass on the standards of behaviour we expect of everyone else is patronising and suggests that you believe they are incapable of living to the same ethical standards as other members of the community.
