He's not loathed but he's more treated like a joke. He recently won a 'prizefighter' tournament and supposedly has a european title shot coming up in his latest 'comeback'. I think he just can't seem to properly adapt to the pro game as he seems genuinely scared of having to mix it up and relies very much on hit and not get hit.

Another one of our olympic gold medalists is also having difficulty adapting to the pro game in comparison to his team mates as he pitter patters etc

Thus bringing back 3 x 3 min rounds in amateur boxing is only a good thing imo.

 

There is loads of funny stuff in there, how confident is he that "Tuesday follows Monday", thats a great one if your a prophet!!

Watched the prize fighter, it was great viewing. Something along the same format is needed here to raise the profile.

Im not too keen tbh, i'll watch them obviously but it sort of feels like it's not proper boxing, i'm glad it can raise the profile of boxers and gives the winners better opportunities e.g. sam sexton, rees and harrison.

I feel the same about the contender - entertaining but flawed etc

There's nothing like hungry fighters.

 

I'm a pugalist at heart but it's great to see 8 guys under the same roof in the one night fighting for a decent purse.
Once a year based on a qualification, eg, minimum fights in a year versus wins loses format.
Like a grandslam, make it international same as the K1....this would be insane.

They pulled the list because they made too many mistakes....they say Mundine did not even make $1,300,00o last year....what a joke

when he does what he says "im gunna step up, im gunna fight the worlds best", then he may get some interest.

but we all know, when he really does fight the worlds best....he is going to get KTFO!!!!!

I have it on impeccable authority that Mundine didn't even top 1 million last calendar year.

His financial situation is getting so bad that luds may soon see him in the queue at centrelink.

 

are you taking the ****?he would of made more than that in product endorsements with his good looks,scintillating personality and clear concise manner of talking.the man has a career in radio beckoning when he hangs up the gloves IMO.
