Contendo Ash is a welcomed addition to Team Mundine. He has promised to visit us in the gym whilst on his way to support Bill the Kid next month. I am sure he will be able to advise Choc on any mistakes in preparation for his upcoming title fight. Everybody here will be informed of how things are going on his return.
No not yet. Choc starts full time training Monday week. It will be similar to the 24/7 thing that is on main event at the moment. Maybe they will want to interview Ash.
Flash, don't worry, he's a welcomed member of our team also. Ash and I just enjoy ****-taking one another back and forth and I'm sure he'll respond in kind. :yep Mate, for the record, I'm a Choc man. :good Hey Ash may be hunting for your job Jeff, look out!!!
Contendo........ my job is safe because both Choc and Tony love my jokes. If I didnt have that I know I would have one foot out the door and the other on a banana skin.
In all seriousness Flash, I think that it's great that MainEvent are looking at doing these kind of shows to promote yes Choc in this instance, but overall it does promote boxing and that's great thing. :deal Maybe one on Green, or the Grange gym and Geale, Harry's Gym and it's top class fighters, Katsidis, Vic, Dib, there's loads to work with and the behind the scenes stuff is what helps gravitate mainstream into potential fans. Not to mention it helps profile and develop your next stream of PPV fighters.
Contendo I couldnt agree more. The 24/7 previews are great and I think they would be just as popular doing the same with guys like Danny Green,Lenny Zap, Daniel Geale and Billy the Kid. Boxing was so big here in the 70's because of the air play it got. Would love to see it return.
Flash, how many times have I seen you get asked on here - "How's Choc training, what's he doing with this, that or other?" Behind the scenes stuff showing the fighter's prep, living by the scales as part of their routine, training, meeting sponsors, doing charity bit's etc just gives the fans another viewpoint of them. 'The Contender', yes, had some critics, but by geez the reality aspect had people talking on here and 'around the water coolers' so to speak which is great for boxing.
I hope they give mundine plenty of camera time, I think he'll be great entertainment like floyd :deal I could think of worse people to interview than ashley. :happy 24/7 is great although the mayweather/mosley edition is a bit weak in comparison to the earlier ones. Fightcamp 360 which focuses on the super six is really interesting and shows the fight negotiations, preparation etc If you haven't seen them then watch them! I've seen the danny green docs and that was interesting in the sense it showed the aftermath of the beyer fights and the split with fenech, although the rjj/green one was a bit staged for my liking. I really want to see a complete breakdown of a training camp too but I doubt many fighters want the sparring and weight making bad points and issues broadcast for their opponents. Does choc ever still isolate himself in the outback to train?
