I was totally going to bar this. I saw no point in it and was pretty disapointed that he chose this path.

I didnt bother watching the last fight live because I knew what the result would be, but I made sure I got a copy because I dont like to be behind the 8 ball.

But I wasnt even to watch this card at all.

Now the undercard isnt looking to bad at all, one of the best Choc undercards Ive seen in a while.

I wanted to get a look at this Omotoso kid, Colomban vs Sultan should be a good tussle and Sol is definitely stepping up in this fight, which should make it interesting to gauge him.

Crazy Kim vs Porky should be entertaining at the least. Kim wasnt half bad a few weight divisions ago and could really crack. And Porky is always good value

I might have to watch it now, sneaky Mundine.

Easily the best Mundine card I can recall.

they say its going to be a step up for haumomo but look at the blokes record he is fighting.

in his past 10 fights he has been knocked out 7 times. johnny lewis is ruining his fighters. if i was haumono i would pack my bags and head straight to america. he can triple his money there by the end of the year instead of doing nothing here.

Can he triple his money? You can't tell me Bowie Tupou would be getting paid a lot to fight the low grade opponents he's fighting.Haumono might be better off in the short term in nz. They seem to be able to afford reasonable step ups for Cameron and Bobby (better than what Sol & Bowie have been getting here & in the US). Sol would have a following there I imagine. Worth a thought.

The purse may be three times as big big so are the promoter's take out.

I'd be concerned for Sol if he doesn't get a crack at Big Bob after this. He needs to get among the international rankings, maybe via a Pan Pacific title or something. Taking out guys in 1 or 2 rounds isn't helping and could catch up to him.

I dont think it compares to be honest.

Cameron is the premier heavy there and Haumono wouldt just waltz in to the same amount of support or fanbase I reckon.
Mark was brought in as the opponant in that fight if Im not mistaken because Mahone is now NZ based and had the international experience.

But I get your point, these fights arent helping his career.

If you can't see that it's a progression, you're really struggling in my opinion. No one ever said he's a world beater, but he's a trial horse that's been in there with Arreola, Barrett (who he knocked out 4 fights ago!) Calloway, Michael Moorer, Vlad Virches, the list goes on. Sure, he loses to most of them, that's not the point. It's called progressing as a fighter. He's had 14 pro fights. Not many heavy's progress much faster. He took the sport up late. It's not like he's going to dominate the scene for years.

Sure, sure I agree but I would have had him fighting his previous bouts a little closer together and had this one over and done with a while back. Most managers/promoters like to play it safe with the big boys because it can all end badly if you don't (think Ruiz v Tua) as I'm sure you know.

You also have to remember that while he doesn't have a long pro career he has been around the game since a young pup. It's not like he needs to learn how to parry. Time to see how well he can swim...

Being around the game is one thing. Actually doing it is another, which I'm sure you're aware.

Sol's not that good. He's doing the right thing fighting as many tomato cans as possible in Oz. It's putting food on the table imo.

As soon as he steps up he will get KO 'd, and it's bye bye sol.

Fight big Bob, go to NZ and fight Cameron etc........ and leave it at that.
