7 WCs or former ditto. And convincingly. Anyone with eyes in their head don't need to look at resumes. Neither of them have super strong resumes. Anyone(but you) knows that Taylor haven't been any good for ages: Got a very questionable draw vs Winky Got a very questionable win vs Spinks(smaller too) Lost twice to Pavlik. Who has Pavlik faced besides crude Miranda, and a Taylor that hasn't performed well in years? So you can't use resumes to help your case at all... By skills - Kessler is more skilled than both, and a natural SMW.
Yes, Pavlik has too leaky defence for someone like Kessler. While Kessler knows how to protect himself. Both have good offence, but again here Kessler is ahead on intangibles. Great Ring generalship, sense of distance, greater jab, better accuracy. And furthermore he is a natural SMW, that is a light heavy on fight night. Pavlik has a better killer instinct, and a slightly wider array of shots, but he also tends to get sloppy. Kessler doesn't.
So.... are you saying just head to head that Kessler would win, or did you mean Kessler is better overall?
1. He hurt Mundine plenty of times, and outboxed him most of the fight. 2. On what basis do you find them underrated/overrated? 3. Pavlik hasn't beaten anyone, and calzaghe has only beat Pavlik? Do you mean Kessler instead of Pavlik? If so, then Kessler have beaten most that are in the top range at SMW. Pavlik has only faced Miranda and Taylor at MW. Both of these are merely names, that haven't performed too well - unlike Kessler. 4. I should have stopped responding to your post, since you think that Hopkins won. He lost 9-3 or 8-4. You can't win, if you don't throw. Hopkins was dumbfounded on what to do with JC, but he had a good gameplan - trying to negate JCs offence, but offensively he didn't do anything. 5. Lacy is not awful - he isn't all that great either. JC mostly just ruined him.
mundine won every second of the fight except the knock down, he looked pretty good and weight 164 at the weight in, He said he will make 160 next fight, I think 160 is a mistake and he should stay at 168.
Since styles make fights, Taylor would have an easier time with Kessler than Pavlik. Much better speed for racking up points in a fight that will go the distance.
Yes, I meant to say Kessler hasn't beaten anyone and Calzaghe has only beat Kessler. Yes, old Hopkins didnt do much to Calzaghe, but I don't think Calzaghe landed one clean punch in that fight. A less experienced Taylor beat a younger Hopkins more convincingly than Calzaghe.
