Mundine/Green....Do you think it will generate much interest?

It's possible that the general public will fall for it. I, for one don't give two rat's arse about this fight.

 

Its starting to become a bit of bull**** now in my opinion....

Of course it will be an intresting fight "In Australia " because 90% of Aussies are aware who the **** Mandy is and will be praying the **** gets turned off at the mains ,but world wide it will be a case of "who did you say was fighting " ? ... Jeff Fenech ?

Choc has found it hard to get the fights he wants overseas because he doesn't want to take on the lesser known fighters. All the big names in the USA are looking for that one big fight and aren't prepared to give him a shot BUT there are fights he could take that would improve his ranking and put more presure on the big guns.

It appears as though Mundine would rather **** around here until something falls in his lap.

If he fights Green at super middle/light heavy then it makes one wonder why he just didn't fight Kessler.

I was hyped for the first fight but this is bull****.

The word about has been that Mundine's long term plan was now in motion, that being him going down to middleweight and fight overseas....it's all any ****s been talking about for ****ing ever.

He don't need to float it because he already knows what every **** thinks......"WHAT THE ****?"

That said there was always the chance that Mundine would do a backflip. Unfortunately he'll land on his head.

 

There's no suggestion that anyone's "Ducking Him" as in avoiding him out of fear or the like, it's just they just don't rate him or couldn't be bothered.

The simple fact is that Khoder and Mundine have been working hard to get the guys that wanted but they're just not interested.

I would like him to lower his sights a little but apparently it's not an option.

 

Interesting yes, but it will never generate the interest that their first fight did. That was massive here, it was our little Tyson V Lewis fight. People who had never seen a boxing fight before went to a pub to watch this.

The rematch?...Nah. Not even close. If the first fight was close, then yeah, the public could be forgiven for wanting a rematch. But it wasn't a close fight, and the fact that Danny is coming out of retirement (even though he hasn't been retired for long) makes it even less appealing.

 

I reckon he should have given his all to a Kessler rematch , kessler's profile in Europe is Massive and getting bigger by the month in the $$$tate$$$ , the worst senario for Choc would have been another defeat to Kessler but at least the world would have been aware that you actually had a world class S/Middle operating out of Australia , it might have been one step backwards but in the longer run it might have tempted a massive name ( yank ) to consider a fight with him . the trouble is Mundine apears to be content being the big fish in a small pond , im not dissing Australia here either but he has to get out into the northern hemisphere some how and erase the memory of the Ottke Ko out of boxing fans minds .

 

Until we hear that Mundine v Green is offical I'm still holding on to the hope that he'll be fighting in the US come late October like it's been planned for almost 18 months!!!

I refuse to believe that he is content with the current situation, after all, all anyone has been told is that everything up until now has been part of a "Master Plan"

Now, onto the real issues...

JOSEY, do juniors still get oranges at halftime in Wales? Here in Oz it's been banned for sometime due to a rule that forbids kids getting food prepared by an adult other than their parent OR even handled by someone else.

If Mundine fights in America this year, I'll be happy to ban myself for a year. It simply won't happen. Waaaaay more money to make fighting in Australia, and at the end of the day it's all about $.

 

Ego and realising a dream trumps $$$ when you're well in the green to begin with.

If an opportunity arises he'll jump at it because he honestly believes he can't be beaten at middleweight after doing so well at super.

He'd love nothing more than to be a superstar of world boxing, especially in the USA. Problem is who'd want to fight him? The unbeaten or well performed contenders don't want to risk anything until they get a crack at a title and the champions have bigger fish to fry.

 

Well, we'll have to see how it pans out. Let's just say I'm very confident he won't be fighting in the US by the end of the year
