Mundine would be the last person to accuse anyone of fighting a can. He has spent all of his career dodging fighters. If I recall Mundine called Green out from retirement. Wanted to fight him again within 3-4 fights of his comeback. Since then he has dropped from Supper Middle, to Middle and now to Junior Middle. The bloke is a joke. However, Green has not done himself any favours by taking on Briggs. The man was not in the right physical and mental state to be fighting Green.

mundine has made a career of fighting wased up fighters and cabbies. when he fights world class fighters he gets bashed.

green was his best victory, but i doudt he could do it again at catchweight....bring it on!

extract from the story linked above:

Interesting to hear Anthony Mundine on Wednesday night, bagging the Danny Green-Paul Briggs fiasco. Mundine would never have fought Briggs, he said.

    How's these numbers:
Lester was 37 years old, 17kg over his peak weight and hadn't been in the ring for six years and three months when Mundine fought him eight years ago. It lasted four rounds.

    10 points mate. :good

Revenue, outcome, ease of win and minimal disruption to future shows has quickly over ridden CREDEBILITY... SPORTSMANSHIP.. CHAMPION QUALITIES.. VALUE AND PRIDE in many ways.

Personally, I feel Green is in the right STILL compared to Mandy.

Hussein had no business placing a damaged fighter in the ring.

Why wouldn't Green take the fight assuming it would last 3-4 rounds??? His last 2 opponents fell in a flutter and made Green look the better/ and or victum.

Who gives a **** about what Upham or Fenech have to say about the IBO?? Neither are in a genuine position to comment without hypocracy striking them down.

The silence surrounding the Briggs training camps is the catalyst to this mess. YES it's well spoken off, the mediocracy of Briggs training.. his dramas before and during training... but Hussein and Co never approached the authorities to put a halt to the promotion.
