As i said in another thread i dont think there is a right or wrong answer to this just an opinion I think geale is a great person who deserves all the money and fame he can get. My only concern with not fighting choc early is that a loss would dent his money making ability greatly, a fight with choc I beleive is his biggest money making opportunity out there fight choc and then head OS for the big fights. I think it is an easy victory for a heap of money before his fame comes OS. No other fight will make him this money and a quick loss could see him back in Aus trying to get back up the tree before he had earned what he deserves

From his interview on the NRL footy show last night it appears he's enjoying the win, but a bit confused about where he's heading.

Fatty asked him some classically uniformed questions - but Geale came across really well and looked unmarked.

yeah the garth wood re match was a classic wasn't it.
also loved geales comment that if choc fights some quality and gets his ranking up a bit he might consider the fight

Wonder if Fatty was set-up by the script-writer as he claimed?

The others seemed to be very well versed with boxing by comparison to the Fat Man.

not sure I watched last night fatty started off saying a boxing match and someone chimed in and said they are called bouts so fatty said geales boxing about sounded like he was doing ballet, fatty had no idea the whole way through, I am sure Rabs would have got some pointers off his son mark and came in with a matinez comment that showed he knew a little bit

Rabs and the others were rattling off boxing jargon and names readily - I was impressed - but Fatty!

Geale spoke on the show about hoping to get a bout against Martinez , I hope he has a few mandatory bouts first against the number 1 challengers to his IBF belt before he takes on the likes of Martinez and Sturm ..

Exactly Shark, it worried me too when he responded to the raising of Martinez' name.

The commitment in Geale's voice when he said he wants to fight the very best, convinced me that's exactly what he intends to do - just hope he doesn't rush it too soon to his detriment.

I think after hearing Geale say he'd love to finish Mundine and take the fight we will deff see this in the next 12months .
This is a good fight for the Aussie public, Geale gets his revenge, cash and the public attention and the boxing fans , ESB posters included get what they want (Mundine to take a fight against a legit Champ) .
I understand the hate associated with Mundine but wouldn't this be a huge step up from the **** fights and youll all get to see him schooled.

Yeah he has to sit down with his management team and map out a program CHB , perhaps go down the WBC path and hopefully get a bout against the winner of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr/Sebastian Zbik and that would then raise his profile in the states as well as a couple of mandatories and then he he would be hardened and ready to tackle a Martinez or Sturm ....

Good fight for the aussie public yes but IMO and like Geale said on the program he done the hard yards to earn his shot at a title , Mundine should man up himself and fight some belt challengers for a shot at Geale's belt instead of gettin a shot the easy way on the back of a rematch . Mundine has no credibility and Geale shouldn't even entertain the idea of fighting Mundine especially after the IBO middleweight rematch farce ....
