Funny how his ranked no 4 in the IBF, me thinks this fight was discussed well before the title fight . Or why would Mundine be ranked no4 ?
Also his ranked no2 in Australia so going by rankings not the rematch angle the fight is ok by me.
Yes Geale has done the hard yards and well done champ but if he gets ahead of himself and try's to beat the world overnight hell be back to square one . Take the cash Geale you deserve it then go on and unify:bbb

Doors have opened for Mr Daniel Geale and Mundine is one option for him but like you said I hope he doesn't get ahead of himself and try and be a world beater overnight and be back at square one .
I dont know if Mundine is on his radar after reading this article . http://www.theaustralian.com.au/new...in-his-home-town/story-e6frg7mf-1226053541022

It's not just hate, it's revenge to a degree.

Why give the turd the satisfaction of the rematch.

Notice how Mandy has capitalised on Geales win, claiming he'll 'woop' him again. Yet before Geales win, he wasn't interested. He thinks he can always call the shots, and he'll be right if Geale plays his stupid games.

Yes I would like to see him schooled, and yes it would be a step up for him, but I also think it's just feeding right into the Mandy circus, of which many of us hate.
Mandy just needs to curl up into a little corner and be forgotten.

    Goor read.
I too agree that Martinez shouldn't be his first defence, but in a few fights, no problem.
I think he would fight Mandy again, but he'll wait untill he's worthy, if that is ever possible again.

    Personally, I doubt it.

    Sox
you may have already posted this but what would your direction be if you were Geale. and what sort of money do you think he would make out of those fights.

I would be going Choc $1mil minimum then mandatory $500 000 easy defence V who cares $ 250 000 then martinez $500 000. haven't really got much of an idea about the figures just rough guesses so tear me a knew one if anyone has better ideas, i think martinez is a great fight and a unification however he will want a heap of money to fight so whats left for geale will be a lot less i would think

If I were Geale I'd be doing something like this for the first defence and 2 maybe 3 fights after.

    Sturm, Pirog, Williams, Zbik, Golovkin.

After I beat the **** out of a couple of these blokes, I'd chase Martinez.

By that time I'd be well over a Million in earnings.

Maybe, and that's a big maybe, I'd fight a softer touch for my first defence, perhaps someone like Soliman.

That sounds like a good line up and a winnable sequence for Geale. I wouldn't have a problem if he went that way, though I still like the guaranteed Mil fighting choc first and then your guys

I would rate them this order...

Zibik, Golovkin, Sturm, Pirog then Williams......but I would be fighting these guys in this order...

Manfredo, Mandatory, Spinks, Mandatory, Mundine, Mandatory, Zibic, Mandatory.....I would stay away from the rest for as long as possible

No matter what Geale has done, says he will do or does, the fact is
Mundine fought Geale. Got the decision, therefore he beat Geale. Google it....

As disapointed as I am about how Mundine's career has played out, its Crazy Kim that Mundine is judged by his self promoting claims than by reality. Mundine has beaten much better fighters than Sylvester, look at his record, or maybe just the top of my post.

    Do you get the picture.

PS- Geale was talking **** last night on footy show. I thought he was ok until asked if Mundine should be given a shot based on rankings, Geale said no he should not. Geale should take a look at the IBF rankings.

Im sure you're disappointed mate. His career went down the toilet.

In all honesty Im disappointed too, as are many of the poster here (even some of the haters), of how such an athlete could waste such god given talent.

As a result of this though, most of us have learned to move on from mundine... those who are still loyal to him are clutching at staws...

**** I have apoligise to every 1 for my "aussie opinion" on this thread****

had a few in me and not thinkin right sorry ...still dont like mundine, a fight with geale will obvisioly give him status.. but i rekon i rekon it will still take something away from green and his team as he fights past champs and no bodies... either way mundine and green's time is up soon...- mundine is just milkin the better pay days
