Turning up to clean up your little cousin and his mates' mess after they started **** and couldn't finish it and breaking a man's jaw - for shame Anthony, for shame :-( "ANTHONY MUNDINE and former league journeyman Wes Patten have been caught up in a police investigation involving a scuffle in which a man's jaw was broken. Central Hunter Police have confirmed the pair, who are cousins and were in the Hunter over the weekend for an indigenous rugby league competition, had been called to help some teenage relatives after the youngsters were involved in a fracas with several men on Sunday night. It is believed Mundine, a former world champion boxer, played the role of a mediator after arriving at the car park late on Sunday. The drama is believed to have started after several Metford men took offence at having an object thrown at their car as they drove through the Green Hills Shopping Centre's car park about 11pm. Police have confirmed they are investigating claims that several teenagers, including two girls, were kicked and punched in an ensuing melee before one broke free and called Mr Patten for help. Patten, a former player for the Tigers, Chargers, Dragons and South Sydney who now commentates on rugby league on an indigenous pay television station, was in the Hunter for the Koori Knockout at Raymond Terrace and would go on to be in the winning side, the Newcastle Yowies, on Monday. The Herald understands Patten and Mundine travelled to the car park before the Metford men were confronted about the earlier fracas. Central Hunter duty officer Inspector Glenn Blain said police were still investigating how one of the Metford men suffered a broken jaw in another ensuing fight. ''We are talking about several separate incidents and we are attempting to piece together what has happened,'' he said. ''We will be looking at everyone's involvement as part of the investigation.'' No charges have been laid. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/mundine-investigated-over-hunter-fracas-20121002-26xi0.html
Come on man, Mundine should not have turned up to a shopping centre carpark at 11pm on a Sunday night in response to a call from his little cousins who had started **** up they couldn't finish. If he's such a respected role model and spokesperson for his people, why didn't his cousins respect him enough to cease, instead of continuing to kick off after he and Patten arrived at the scene, resulting in one of the men from the car having his jaw broken? More like his cousins thought they could get him down there to back them up and took liberties once he and Wes arrived, resulting in another fight kicking off.
yeah, anthony has a role to play, sure. you dont talk for everyone who is white. some of us can chew gum AND walk..
He's a creepy virgin internet loser he wouldn't confront anyone or anything (see the Jeff Malcolm call out :rofl). Mundine looks out for his family and friends - can't knock that.
I'll never forget my first visit to Raymond Terrace for a fight night. After a 4.5 hour trip the team got out the the bus and were approached by a young lady who had only seconds before been rolled for her handbag. First impressions and all
im no fan of mundine, but the article does say he was mediating, as for turning up at a carpark, if my little cousin was in trouble i would go to help, not to say i would punch on with 12yr olds, however there is nothing there to say that mundine punched anyone at this stage, maybe we should wait for the facts before passing judgement, once again to clarify, i am in no way shape or form a fan of mmundine.............unless he steps up!
