Mundine is a better fighter than Taylor.

Mundine may be being a bit protected now, but he certainly did jump into the deep end early on in his career. A fight against Ottke after 10 fights and not even really having an amateur career.

When you take into account that he's now had 34 fights, and guys like Kessler, ect took 30 odd fights to get their title shot, then in total, he hasn't really been protected at all, just probably badly managed.

JT's record should read worse than Mundine's imo. It's be good to see them go at it at 168, although I don't think it'd make for an entertaining fight. It's be two guys feinting for 2 + minutes per round.

Froch has a good chin, good timing and one punch KO power. He may lose rounds to Taylor due to his laziness and low guard, but Taylor's defence is sloppy and his hands drop lower and lower as the rounds go on. It won't be too long before Froch detonates one of his thrown from the hip right hands on Taylor's jaw and ends the night.

The disappointing thing is - most people agree that outside of Kessler (and for some others, Bute and Taylor) - Mundine beats EVERYONE at SMW if he fights the way that he should do.

We've seen a number of good performances from him (and as has been said, even his defensive performance against Kessler was pretty class), yet he's fighting such terrible opponents as of late, we haven't been seeing the same performances.

H2H I'd have Mundine more skilled than Taylor too. Very close though, considering I rate Taylor higher than Amsterdam does (and many others, too).

    Jermain Taylor.
He is a classy boxer.Pavlik has his number though.

Mundine? Mundine lost to Siaca who got schooled by a 41 year old Italian,he went 12 rounds with Nievas who got a lesson in boxing and got stopped by German based supermiddle rookie Sartison,he also went the full 12 rounds with Hamder who had been stopped by middle weight king Artur Abraham and who was totally dominated by rusty Danish vet Larsen in their encounter.
Last but not least the Aussie got knocked out by feather fisted German sprinter Sven Ottke.

Mundine is overrated! I would bet my money on Inkin,Tsypko,Stieglitz,Balzsay,Braehmer,Froch,Kessler, and Bute against Mundine.Well,I wouldnt be really sure on whom to put my money if Mundine fought guys like Lacy,Berrio,or Sika.Could go either way IMO.

I agree. Mundine is overrated just like whole SMW division is. Recently people tend to think that SMW is full of talent. I don't see it. We are all going to see Miranda conquering it soon and the crap about the talent in the SMW will be finally cut.
