I live on the other side of the world (Norway) from Anthony Mundine, but even from this distance it is very clear that "The Man" has become the laughing stock of the 168 lbs division. Mundine says he wants to go down in history as the greatest Australian boxer of all time? A longshot as that is to begin with, he is continually moving further away from his goal by fighting hand picked opponents. His latest opponent had a very decent cialm as being the worst title challenger in history, and Hamdam is only slightly better. I used to like Mundine, but quickly lost interest after he started fighting about five stiffs for every decent opponent. And for every decent opponent he beat, he also lost to one. Anthony Mundine is a poor man's version of Roy Jones - and his opponents are even poorer versions of Jones' opponents. Greatest Australian fighter of all time? Please... Bring on Green vs. Briggs! -KOKid-
Are u sure ur really from NORWAY???? U seem to know a lot about this tryhard Roy Jones for my liking :think :think
Thats exactly what im thinking.. This norwegian knows alot about a guy who fights in oz never leaves oz and pretty much is only really known in oz. Knowing the roy jones bit makes things even more suspicious to say the least.:think
mundine is HUGE in spitzbergen. after reindeer and making sure there are no polar bears around mundine is the most talked about topic thanks to an issue of the sydney times having found its way to the artic circle and been the only source of news for years.
Classic case of forming an opinion from other posters opinions. Laughing stock of SMW division use to be Calzaghe...didnt take long for that myth to vanish did it.
That's right. He was still generally accepted as Joke Calzaghe for non British fans just like Mundine is now. He fought good/great fighters but his name was born from a career punctuated with easier fights to fans who didnt know better.
