and the fight was surprisingly very good. It was fought at a very good pace and both fighters showed tremendous fitness. Mundine has definitely not slowed at all, he was very strong and very quick. His timing was superb and his left hook is being thrown more naturally than it has ever been before. I rate Mundines defence as the best in the division and now i can say that his straight right has to be up there aswell, lightning quick and accurate. I gave Sam 3 maybe 4 rounds (1 clear round). I gave Mundine about 4 clear rounds with rest being close. There was no clear indication in the post fight interview of him wanting to go to MW, i hope he doesnt. Good fight, PS - Unbias post ^^^^^^^ PPS - Hedgecock is a sook :deal
boring fight. mundine looked washed up. soliman showed how limited mundine is. if mundine EVER fights a decent fighter again, he will sleep for another 15 mins......
Geale vs Mundine , Dan could go up in weight, grab a fake WBA title, and be back down at middle in time for tea
i'm not sure which fight some people here were watching. it couldn't have been the Soliman V Mundine fight. to say mundine was slow and looked washed up is far from the truth. they must just be Mundine haters and not analysing the fight.
I have no history here of hating on Mundine but he is clearly on the slide. He destroyed Soliman about 15 months ago hurting him numerous times, the other night not only couldn't he hurt him but he was getting tagged himself. Yes of course he's still a good fighter but he no longer has a chance of beating Kessler and that's why he's fleeing.
I wasn't impressed with Mundine and that's including last 3 fights. I am a supporter but must admit he's on the slide.
mundine is badly trained. whatever he was doing different during the lead up to soloman 11, he should still be doing. obviously he is not. that was probably his best ever (winning) performance. mundine crucified solomon that night. bashed him senseless. he's been mediocre since then.
i love mundine. soliman made the fight ugly. mundine looked bad because of solimans ugly style. there was not one point in the fight where mundine looked worried. soliman is probably the lightest fisted fighter going around. i rate mundine at being the best in super and middleweight fighters right now. the only thing he needs to work on more is his combinations and more of them. lack of combinations made the fight look closer to the inexperienced fight fans.
I did not watch the fight i want to make this clear.... Is it possible Sam fought alot more like he used to - diving ducking lunging and was just a little harder to hit cleanly with the same punches that ended his night last time. Is it possible he was just better prepared. Rematches rarely end the same way as previous fights Pavlik v Taylor 1 and 2......first ones carnage on both sides - second fight goes 12 I didnt watch the fight so i cant say- seems like a reasonable result in re re match situation
i thuoght it might have been the case- one of the reasons i didnt watch it. no matter what happened there was no way Soliman beats mundine
