Brother, bro, cuz, cuzzie bro are the sort of words Choc uses to describe his race. Calls Cathy Freeman a sellout for not fulfilling her obligations.
Beetson would fulfil his obligation and attend Chocs funeral if the shoe was on the other foot. A lot of people look up to Mundine and will be convinced that this is the right attitude to hold. Pretty sure he flies the flag when he enters the ring, the same flag that represents his "coconut" mates.

Disagree if you hate him you hate him you don't have to go and give a eulogy.

It's called a choice because there is a risk that not everyone will agree with you.
If you can look at yourself in the mirror then you have made the right choice and you can consider yourself a man. Self respect is the reward, not plaudits or backslapping by a bunch of hangers on or the media.
Nobody demands Mundine's respect, he demands it from everybody else.

    exactly.

big artie was an indigenous groundbreaker. he was either the first indigenous RL player selected for national honous, or its first captain.

either way, he then went on to become a footy legend, a selector, and looked up to and admired my the large majority of his race and the wider aussie public.

lionel rose was of the same cut.

mundine is not cut of thesame cloth. hes never won a world title, never represented australia, not admired by a majority of australians, and is a shameful dead****.

Why is this Mundine guy constantly talked about here? I see threads on him all the time, about all sorts of things. Am I to understand that he is like the Mayweather, or Haye, of Australasia?

Put Haye and Floyd together and times it by 5. Mundine IS Australian boxing.

He is the black Superman. Superman would've been enough but did I mention he was black?

No he is hated by many, liked by some and treated with indifference by some. 20a87 creates threads about him to stir ****,others like swingin hate him yet can't stop starting threads about him. He was once a talent but is now past his best and fighting low risk fights against limited opponents yet somehow averages 7000 PPV buys each fight.

he said he was 'boxings bradman', bad mouthed other respected indigenous athletes, said he was glad 3000 people died on sept 11, a got beat every time he fought a world class opponent at their right weight.

a novice kod him recently, and he now fights only men over 40.

he is hated by australians and is a SHAME TO MANY OF HIS RACE.

Graham "Polly" Farmer is widely regarded as the best Aussie rules player EVER in an era when racism was acceptable. 1960's.

Made a lot of mistakes. Blew his fortune drinking and gambling and was bailed out by the government. However, he has a freeway named after him because of his contribution to sport, society and his respectful demeanour.
Nobody's perfect but people love resilience, persistence and courage.
