Mundine offered biggest fight of his career!

He made the earlier statement the night he beat Geale.

 

Correct. 27th May 2009 to be exact and Mundine claimed he would never fight another Aussie. But so far there have been what? 5 more fights against Australians so far?

 

Are you claiming you don't remember Mundine's 911 statement?

 

I particularly remember that statement Mundine made after the Geale fight because I knew at the time he'd never keep to it.

Mundine's father had about twice as many fights as his son and never lost to an Australian. He took great pride in that fact and often mentioned it after he retired.

If Mundine had kept to his word after the first Geale fight he would still be able to boast that himself. But Wood and Geale put pay to that.
