Reasonably, but that kind of performance doesn't do anything for me to be honest.
I'd rather him go out trying to knock the guy out, like Katsidis would, and I'm not one of those people who just want to see Mundine get knocked out. I want to see him go well, and leave nothing left in the tank come the end of the fight.

You cant tell me you didnt see the difference in Mundine v Siaca and Kessler than the one versus Green and dont give me the Green was **** bit :yep If Mundine had fought Green on the night he fought Kessler it would have been green getting the decision :deal

When he first started out he was very elusive cause he had to be, cause he had no inside game to speak of, now he does and like every fighter on the inside they get tagged no matter who you are.

When Mosley got owned by Forest in the first fight you could see he only wanted to finish standing up.

I said after the mundine fight with Kessler that his performance there would have been enough to beat Green. From memory, you were never saying at that time that Green would win either.

I'll say it again, the reason why Mundine was more gun shy against Kessler is because Kessler is a more skilled and lethal puncher than Green. There was much more risk of him being hit against Kessler than against Green, thus meaning Mundine had to defend more.
Against green, he was cautious the first round, it was kind of a 'test the waters' round for him, and after he saw what Green had, he became more aggressive because he knew he could afford to.

Perhaps me and you rate Green fairly differently. But if Green was to face Kessler, I'd tip Kessler to beat him with ease and not drop a round in doing so. He's just that much more skilled than him. his performance of Andrade is probably the closest compariosn I'd make to how a fight between him and Green would play out.

Although Green may have a bigger punch than Kessler, it doesn't make him more of a threat unless he can land it enough. he didn't, yet Kessler did.

 

Teke , Kessler is extremely underestimated mate , he will rule super for years to come , the only man with a remote chance of beating him is that Romanian kid Lucian Bute . who are the other candidates ? Andrade ? Froch ? Mundine ? Finkabodit Teke , it took a top class Joe Calzaghe to hand him his first loss ,unless someone comes from out of the blue kessler will retire in about four years as the untouchable standout fighter amoungst this group imo .

Its no wonder around that time that Kessler chose no to fight Green and go for Siaca then Mundine or whatnot, much easier fights for him. I have always stated that Mundine will beat Green anytime but if it had been back then **** i would be have been shitting myself

Green and Kessler have had similar opponents aswell and Green has bashed them just as easy if not easier than Kessler years before he did (yes he should have been given the first Beyer fight). Green v Kessler would be an awesome fight, I have seen Kessler in some pain but not Green.

I know it's good for some fighters to make it their goal mid fight to just see out the bell. RJJ/Tarver 3 was a perfect example of this, and considering Jones' last few fights, it didn't seem like to bad an idea.

I just think that any boxer should back themselves to find that knockout punch when the going gets tough. Even though it's probably a 50/1 shot, at least you can say to yourself afterwards I gave it my all.

Mundine's lost 2 fights now by not giving it his all. More than likely the Kessler loss would have happened anyway, but still.

 

He's good there is no doubting that but when i start hearing things like he'll be untouchable for at least 4 to 5 years time that says something. Kessler would mince meat Bute

I dont think Mundine is ever going near Middleweight unless something big is on the line.

 

Kessler is far superior than Danny Green imo. Mundine would be like a possum caught in the headlights of a semi trailer steaming down Mooney Mooney bridge if he were to fight Pavlik.

 

Well maybe three to four years are more likely but serious Teke you know ive studied the S/middleweights in depth for years and i honestly cant see anyone holding a candle to him , he is light years ahead of his contemparies . Calzaghe is just fighting for money these days he will probably bow out with a fight v Pavlik next march .

 

I hope Joe faces Pav, in the sneaky scheme of things it was very smart to let Pav take Hopkins first. If Pav gets through him which is a good possibility it could come at a price and if that happens then Joe should be able to mop up.

Fight i want is Joe v Tarver, that would be a great fight

 

In the end Mundine will do whats best for Mundine but one hopes that the BOXA boy will donate a bright light for his folllowers and youngsters that look up to him for inspiration.

I like Kessler, Bute and Calzaghe on the broader scale but back 'home' nothing compares!

 

Yea its a smart move fighting Jones first for an extra £5 million thus forcing Pavlik to take the old fox test , should they BOTH pass their respective upcoming tests it will set up a Mega bucks fight , a fight i see as 50-50 kelly's talent v Cunning old Joe , Whats not to like ? As for Tarver ? Antonio ain't in Calzaghe's plans , why would he be ? anyway Tarver is ****ed mate . gotta Run , 12 hours in a four mile tunnel await , Oh Joy . atsch
