What always gets me is those that bag Choc for being "to cocky" and taking **** about how he believes he is the best in the world.

NEWSFLASH...if you don't have that sort of self belief when you step in against a world champion YOU'RE ****ED !!!

It's that sort of self belief that carried him to a world title after getting KO'd by Ottke (when others would have quit)

It's that sort of self belief that helped him go 12 rounds with Kessler, even though he knew what Kessler was capable of after destroying Siaca.

And it's that sort of self belief that has transformed him from the contender that we have seen in the past to the champion that we will see in the not to distant future.

 

I'm sorry but your just talking absolute rubbish. Yes you should have belief in your abilities but Mundine doesn't. He can talk a good game but he just doesn't walk the walk. If he has belief in his abilities WHY THEN has his last 3 fights been Argy road sweepers, a washed up Hamden, and now a washed up Soliman who he destroyed and schooled 12 months ago. Can you explain how that is the actions of a fighter who believes they are the best in the world ?

And stop spouting that Mundine is/was a world champion.
# Byron Mitchell was WBA champ and was beaten by Ottke in a unification bout. Therefore Ottke was at the time joint IBF/WBA champ. Mundine then beat Echols for the rediculous WBA regular title as their real world champ (Ottke) had just unified.

#When Kessler unified by beating Beyer he became joint WBA/WBC champ.Mundine then won his 2nd "world title" regular WBA title when Kessler was the REAL WBA champ.

I'm actually a fan of Mundine's ability but you can only hear so much rubbish spouting from his mouth.

Kessler v Mandy would have been massive and you know it :deal but Mundine RAN from Kessler ( You can't rewrite history). also the reason Calzaghe moved up in weight to L/Heavy was because he's cleaned house @ S/Middle and there wasn't anyone left to beat in the division ,

Josey, while it's obvious you lack any objectivity when it comes to "Mandy" (or Calzaghe for that matter) you could do yourself some favours by accepting that you have no idea what the hell's going on when it comes to Anthony Mundine.

As for Calzaghe, he has to be the greatest fraud in the history of boxing. The guy stayed well clear of any decent contender for over a decade yet we get these misfits wanting to call him an all time great.


The difference between Mundine and Calzaghe is only one of them will be remembered for ducking his entire career....and it won't be Choc.

 

Mundine is planning to take on the world's best middleweights starting in less than 6 months. Anyone who has been keeping an eye on Choc will tell you he is ready to shock the world.

Yes. Mundine has been getting the rounds under his belt in the hope that it will pay off in the long run. There's no rush just because the punters want to see him do something that's not in his best interest.

I'm not a fan of the WBA's 2nd class title but the simple fact is that he is classed as a world champion, the same way a winner of an IBF world title is classed as a world champion.

Personally I believe that any belt holder should be forced to fight other title holders. Even guys like Lucian Bute are classified as genuine world champions yet he is yet to face anyone of champion class. In fact I'd say that Mundine has beaten beater fighters than Bute.

that's a stupid comment. To suggest you know how the guy ticks is nothing more than an assumption based on your own bias. I admit that there's been times where he has said things that give the impression that he has lost the plot but the problem is that people like yourself don't understand what he is playing at.

As I stated before, he is a guy that believes he has the talent to be the best in the world, and that's a positive thing as far as I'm concerned. You don't want to go into a major fight with anything other that total confidence otherwise you're already at a disadvantage.

As for some of the other comments, you have to understand that on many occassions the people taking the quotes go out of their way to make him look bad. On the other hand Choc enjoys playing games with the media because he knows that they rarely come after him for a positive story. Mundine has little time for idiots that come looking for that one negative line that they can splash across the back pages of their paper so he plays them for the fools they are.

Unfortunately the clowns out there like yourself don't know how to read between the lies (lines) How else can you justify the some of the comments relating to Mundine's personality? It's amazing how many of the Mundine "haters" don't really know why they don't like him. People like yourself that don't know the guy make a judgement on him as a person which is really **** poor because the guy does plenty of good without asking for anything in return and yet he gets these idiots passing judgement on nothing more than what they hear from the press.

Now don't get me wrong, Choc don't mind being portrayed as the bad guy and he does speak out on what he believes but I'd suggest that you take a minute or two to work out what he said or done that you have an issue with before BAAAing like all the other sheep.
