Correct , If Mundine can capture a genuine title @ Jr Middle weight and defends it a few times then he will have passed all expectations i had for his boxing career , people will soon forget all the soft targets he fought and he will go down as one of Australia's best . but he needs to get a wiggle on and quit the bull**** mate .
It will be now and every bit of intel that is coming to me left right and centre says he is desperate to get some big fights in a row. I would say he has wasted a good number of years of his career but looking back on it injury may well have played a bigger part than i thought. I reckon the biggest waste was playing for St George :yep:yep
Hope you are right about where he's headed. Certainly agree with you about the wasted years, but injury a reason? Granted he had the crook eye and now the groin, but he's still been fit enough to fight the succession of relative nobodies he's been matched with.
In 2009/2010 Anthony Mundine would imo lose to everyone in the super 6 and that includes the version of Jermain Taylor that lost to Abraham. Mundine would fight scared against these guys. It would be a possum in the headlights situation.
you may be right.if he had an amateur career and concentrated on boxing earlier instead of being a professional rugby league player who knows how far he could of made it as a boxer.
Agree SM. Could have been a very special talent indeed, but would still have had to step up in order to leave a real mark on the sport.
