    Truly Fairytale Stuff:

In August last year a cleaner, and former rugby league player of 22 games first grade experience, and with 4 pro fight gets a last minute inclusion into the Contender series.

Who would have thought only 8 months later, the same guy Garth Wood, would hold Anthony Mundine's boxing career in the palm of his hands when they meet for a second time, probably in mid April?

    ...fairytale stuff!

    Yep indeed.

Garth needs to cash in now.

yep and he did it after Mundine changed the weight

    lucrative payday to come.:good

    What a pioneer.

Moves down 3 weight divisions for no reason?? The only clear reason is to look like a **** when weighing in, in a hotel room... Right Derek????
Walks away from a great pay day vs Geale II..
Pays someone an extra 100k to knock him out at an unsuitable weight division...
...and finally, after being CLEAN KO'd and embarassed, he decides on a rematch. FFS!!! People are only watching this to see him KO'd again, as oposed to some deserved praises, had he rematched Geale and won well.

    I can't figure it out.

This next fight for Wood is certainly his big chance at a sizeable bank balance. It could all disappear for him as quickly as it has arrived.

In late August last year he had 4 pro wins, and look where he is now just over handful of months later - what a fairytale!

Ask Jeff Malcolm Bobby. He seems to know best regarding the grand plans for Mundine.

This thread was always destined for big things after an opening post like that - and it's almost impossible to believe it was written by an adult - but funny stuff none-the-less!

Wonder what action the Nut-Huggers Club actually undertook? Must have blinked and missed it.

Perhaps they had a meeting in a phone box and decided to cancel the threatened ESB onslought?

Or maybe they are all attending Nut-Huggers Anonomous with Ash?

Had a quick read through this thread at lunchtime the other day Josey and it's certainly funny stuff.

    Contains a bit of everything:

Ashley at his foaming at the mouth nut-hugging best trying to rally the nut-hugger troops.

ESB's longest serving Mundine nut-hugger Teke chiming in but being very careful not to be quoted in case it comes back to haunt him.

...and there's an absolutely priceless cameo from that Einstein of ESB, Biajoli.

Far from it Josey.....I'm still a Mundine fan just got tired of firing back at all the jibes and trolls pulling up posts/ threads that are 4 months old like it were yesterday :yep

I will be at chocs next fight for sure and while I dont agree with him fighting Garth again....I'm still a fan and hope he wins :good

BTW im not arguing with you about Alex however would like to press the point about aussies v Poms...you know I like the concept and we need more of it :deal

I dont understand why the 2 or 3 poms that post here dont like the concept :huh
