ESB, Boxing forum. A forum barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic forum. ESB will be that forum. Better than it was before. Better... stronger... faster... This content is protected
who's crying goose, I merely stated that I was flogging a dead horse, I wasn't complaining about it. There are many villages in need of an idiot, why don't you try some out.
It's never looked less likely that Mundine would win a world title in 2011 than it does right now. His two most likely opponents with titles, Austin Trout (WBA light middleweight) and Daniel Geale (IBF middleweight), both appear to be otherwise occupied if we can beleive recent reports: 1/ Trout is firming for a defence against Delvin Rodriguez - see other thread. 2/ Geale sounds like he's set to meet the winner of Sam Soliman vs Peter Quillin - see Jacksonmann's thread. 3/ Meanwhile, Mundine still needs to heal from his cut, make the light middleweight limit, and beat Riboberto Alvarez, to be in the hunt.
meanwhile....... green challenging 50yr olds (and running away from them) and ppl who just woke up out of a coma.
Funniest part is Mundine could have already fought Austin Trout on home soil for the WBA light middleweight title - it was his matchup for the taking - and he turned it down.
to take that fight he was pretty much gonna have to rip himself off. choco doesnt always do the right things but if he gets trout then he deserves respect and its kinda plain to see that thats wat he trynna do (without any options). do u know wat else is funny? that green could of had cunningham and pre suicide wlod for the same price as briggs instead of a forgotten tarver for 1. wat ever mil. if either of these guys challenge themselves then they deserve respect.
The option of a tilt at Trout's title on home soil was there for the taking, and he turned it down. Likewise Golovkin was perpared to fight him on home soil, and even offered Mundine the option of having his own family judge it - but no - not interested .
like i said hasnt always made the right decisions. but ur a clown if u cant work out wat chocs trynna do to trout. or why danny signed on for wlod.
They basically ignored Golovkin's people until they stopped offering Mundine the fight. It's all very well turning the odd fight down. But not too many fighters have turned down 2 opportunities to challenge for world titles on their home soil - offers like that just don't grow on trees.
Yeah tell me about it. danny could of unified the whole cruiserw8 (bar huck) division by now all in his backyard.
Well well well. I must say that this is a very cynical attempt of extending this thread by CHB today. He made his century a few days ago and appeared to have punched himself out but after a few days R and R he is back at the crease to try and make this thread a big hundred or even a double century.
