EXCLUSIVE: ANTHONY Mundine is planning to fight again as early as June 5 on the Sonny Bill Williams fight card in Auckland - in order to get a title shot by the end of the year.

The 35-year-old is desperate to earn back his number one ranking, since slipping off the scales following his loss to Garth Wood last December.
Mundine won by an unanimous points decision in the rematch with Wood on Wednesday night, and is now hoping he can secure an elimination fight.
“It just depends on how my body holds up, but I think I’m going to fight on it,” he told sportsnewsfirst.com.au.
“When I lost the last fight I think that put me out of the rankings but obviously I’m back in now in the rankings about seven or eight.
“I might have to set up an elimination fight to get to number one again and hopefully get the title shot by the end of the year.”
Mundine’s next assignment after that will be to fight at junior middleweight and conquer the American market.
“This is the rebirth of 'The Man', you all thought I was dead,” he said.
“I’m going to talk to (Manny Pacquiao's trainer) Freddie Roach and try to get something happening over there and work with some great trainers."
Defeating Wood by unanimous decision 96-92, 96-92, 95-93 the man credited his father Tony, a multiple Australian champion as the catayst of his victory.
“My dad definitely did a great job," Mundine said.
“He changed my game plan as a defensive style and you would have noticed that game plan was a lot different to how I normally fight.
“It paid dividends.
“And to do it against Garth, you have to understand this guy knocked me ... out and to come back and perform like that and show the heart and the belief and want like I did tonight and be victorious, that’s legendary.”
