    Very nicely put Rodin.

When I think of people choosing to associate with organised skull-duggery like this, the word consorting comes to mind.

Won't be surprised if Ash gives your post a wide birth mate.

    Firstly nice post mate :good

I'm not saying choc is fighting the best...I'm just calling the fight and fighters how they are :deal

I have said several times before with another $50,000 in the budget the under card could be full of good aussie fights...not sure why BOXA don't do it.

I'm a fan of Chocs mate and always will be even if he doesn't fight for another title

I have said this point many times as well...NOBODY FORCES ANYBODY TO WATCH MUNDINE CARDS......if they don't want to pay $50 then don't...you and the others are acting like people don't have a choice

I don't understand all the fuss about Mundine destroying the sport :-(

All promoters do the same thing...put on a show and the crowd will be bigger or smaller depending on how good the fights are...its the same for BOXA

They know if they put on average USA fighters they get average results...like they will get on the weekend....however if they get Trout out here then it will be 10 times bigger

People pay the $50 because they like watching Mundine win or lose....I don't think anybody is expecting P4P action when they buy the card :yep

Nobody got deceived on Sunday buying this card...they know choc was fighting a guy 23-6 and SBW was fighting a guy 4-7 :deal

If BOXA want to put on average cards so what....why is it destroying aussie boxing?

What about the other promoters that put on average cards.....are they destroying boxing as well???????

The way i see it is that if Boxa wasn't about and mundine wasn't fighting then Boxing in Aus would be in a worse situation then it is now. Look at the big fights over the past 10 years the big PPV's and choc has been part of it. not all but a lot. I know that done differently it could be done better however Khoder was only ever there for choc and did the best he could for him. Does anybody really believe that boxing would be better off today if choc had stayed in league

The Trout fight wiill not happen Trout is 25 with His whole career in front of him,his credibility will take a huge dent if he takes on this type of fight in this stage of his career,in the States Choc has very little credibility at all and for it to happen would be a huge surprise, look at his last 4 fights for f*ck sake they are hardly the resume for a shot at Trout.!!!!

Choc's last 7 fights have amounted to virtually nothing Steel - even Ashley concedes that much.

    Falliga + Medley + Jerez + Waters + Wood + Wood II + Toliver

    = 7.

Didnt say that it was, Just pointing out the fact that Trout's opponents haven't been setting the world on fire, he is a relative no name in the US, im sure a fight with Choc could be organised, most probably in Aus

Actually Falliga, Medley, Jerez, Waters and Woods are well on par or superior to a vast majority of Trout's recent resume, and your are ill informed if you think differently.

Cant agree....but I'm sure you expected me to say this

Choc is 2 time WBA champ (regular type) 42-4

It wont matter about the USA TV/ credibility mate...it will be on in AUST and Trout will get paid twice his best payday to get him here :deal

Its Trout that is stepping up mate as far as hardest career fight not Mundine :hi:

Your hate has made you blind :bolt

The defining thing about this is that it does nothing for the stink of boxing.
IMO. ever since they took the biff out of football, those spectators it alienated have been looking for an aggressive sport entertainment, THAT THEY CAN TRUST, that is the reason I believe UFC has become so popular.
No advertiser is going to associate itself with a shady operation, & that's what boxa is, & boxing has to wear the same image, & that is consigning fighters to a purse governed by gate takings & not the TV market.

Never mind what other promoters do. They have budget constraints.
Those who don't, & have a high level of balanced investment such as Armatruda & DiCarlo. Compare their cards. The records of their fighters & the authenticity of competition. you see the difference.
One is working for the sport. Trying to make if more popular, & the other is working for himself.

Anthony hasn't made boxing more popular. He gets the attention by talking shiit & the media love writing about outrageous claims.
That's all Boxa has contributed to boxing.

I would give far more credit to the 2 aforementioned promoters, even though they get no ink, simply because they have a long term plan that will benefit everyone.

I'm not criticing anyone for watching his shows. It's their money.
My only criticism is that while people keep talking him up, he takes the limelight off the real fighters, leaves few positives for the sport.

I dunno ash, earlier you were saying Mundine has done Aussie boxing the world of good, now you're pretty much agreeing with Rodin's statement that he's destroying Aussie boxing, but that you don't get the hate because he isn't forcing anyone to pay for his fights.

Ever the politician eh mate?

How many fights do you reckon Falliga, Medley, Jerez, Waters & Wood have had in the USA between them Biajoli?

I'll save you the counting - the same number as Mundine - NONE!
