On behalf of ESB's English-only speaking population, thank you GN. You're now the go-to man in future mate.
What ever happend to Mundine Vs Sturm at middleweight? I remember he was the mandatory challenger at one stage??? I know Sturm had been in problems with Universum for a while, but was there any disintrest from his camp for Mundine??? Anyone can comment?
Just the usual **** talk about wanting to take on the best and fight the likes of Sturm and Abraham, . . . in fact Sturm was the one he was said to be targeting but we all knew it was just the usual rubbish. Then when he finally becomes No.1 mandatory for Sturm's WBA title, runs away and says he would not fight in Germany. Guess he was too busy fighting superstars the calibre of Falliga. Mundine's biggest talent is ducking.
Couldn't find Zaphod Beeblebrox in BoxRec - hardly surprising - but there's some equally silly names there.
Mundines first fight as an actual MW was against Shannon Taylor to become Sturms mandatory he won that then Geales IBO then announced he was becoming the Pioneer first man to win world titles in 3 descending weight classes next fight Robert Medley for the IBO 154 JMW title but then didnt like the IBO and instead they fought at 160 for the wba INTERNATIONAL BELT so for the 2nd time he became Sturms mandatory again and **** my head hurts im getting a migraine.:dead:dead:dead
Funny how the same people are posting the "same old same old" sentiments since my last visit. Have been to the top of the world including my grandfathers home town of Sasanolka (just outside of Kiev, Ukraine) that included checking out some gyms that incorperarte boxing, wrestling and martial arts. Not many weigh over 60kgs but they would go very well if they found their way into OZ. As for Mundine, I thought that he looked very vunerable at times V Waters and would have little to no chance at beating any of the top world ranked J.Mid's especially someone like Cotto who I must admit is a favourite of mine. Mundine was allowed to fight in spurts yet was still often left gasping for breath with his back turned against the Waters counters. An opponent like Cotto would destroy him if he stepped into the ring in the same condition. Mundine's only chance at a true world title win is at middleweight although the time he has wasted and the harmful games with his weight will work against him.
