PERHAPS Danny Green could be tempted back into the ring after all.
The exclusive photograph below, showing Green meeting Anthony Mundine's manager Khoder Nasser, hints that moves are under way for Mundine versus Green II.
Green officially retired in March when he relinquished his World Boxing Association light-heavyweight title during a tearful press conference, vowing never to step into the ring again.
The Perth fighter said he made his decision, one believed to have cost him $10 million, to protect his future. At the time, the 35-year-old said he didn't want his health and wellbeing affected by a career of "using his face to stop punches".
While his retirement shocked the boxing world, Nasser reportedly phoned Green hours after the announcement with a $4 million offer to change his mind.
And Nasser, who engineered Mundine's rise from rugby league star to champion boxer, hasn't given up on arranging the super fight.
On Friday morning, he and Green were spotted walking laps round the Domain, in Sydney.

It's got nothing to do with fighting. Danny was after some halal beef.

Green Vs Mundine will be good for Aussie boxing....will it be for Mundines title? or maybe a LHW to give Green some small advantage.

    Mundine by KO this time.

I read somewhere that Khoder Nasser is a special guest at Danny's retirement luncheon. I would say the interaction would have more to do with this perhaps.. I dunno but I doubt Green would step back in the ring, too much pride for that i'd say.

While on the subject though, had my 21st last night and the boys bought me a Danny Green signed green machine glove, thought it was ****ing sensational!

Imagine being a Green fan paying out on Mundine all these years if he pulls this stunt and comes out of retirement to fight Mundine

I'm a fan of Mundines talent but he seems to think you become a p4p great by continually fighting guys that he has already easily beaten.

And Greeny - when did flannies come back in fashion?

Khoder might be offering Green a job as part of Mundine's team to take on Fenech in a middleweight extraviganza.
