Taver wasn't coming off one sided defeats. If this fight does indeed happen I reckon it will be close and go the distance... Mosley couldn't even beat Mora a couple years ago, I just don't think Shane has ever been great at 154 but then again neither has Choc
It would be bizarre that Mosley would agree to this match up. I hope for his sake, he doesn't, as it does nothing for his career, obviously he would be doing it for financial reasons. As for Choc, I hope he doesn't go down the Mosley path at this point in time. If he's going to fight at jnr middle, there's about half a dozen good American contenders he could look to fight. As for the outcome, I agree with you Prowler. I think Mosley and Mundine haven't looked their best at 154 and on face value, presents quite an interesting contest.
i'll reserve judgement for when i see him up against somebody other than the 3 who most recently beat him. they make everybody look far inferior. its common knowledge he is well past his prime, but we'll see what happens if he does fight a lesser opponent.
did u even watch the mora fight? mora's own corner thought he needed a miracle ko at the end to be the victor.
Well I haven't watched it recently because it was a boring fight, I remember after seeing it I knew Mosley had no chance against Pacquiao...
You're kidding mate. From memory Tarver was coming off 2 wide UD losses in 08 and 09 at LHW against Dawson and a boring UD win in 2010 against a nuffy at HW. So he was semi-retired on the slide yet his excellent pedigree ensured he still flogged Green with ease losing 1 round and I think Mosley though faded will do the same. Mora is ugly and awkward and is a stylistic nightmare for anyone and beat Forrest. I think Shane beats Mundine even now hope we get to see it.:good
Fair enough but I thought Tarver was more competitive with Dawson then Mosley was with Alvarez & Pac... Also Tarver was naturally bigger than Green, Mosley is naturally a smaller man than Mundine...
Seriously, Mosley ain't beating Mundine, it's a blown up lightweight in his forties, way past his prime fighting a less washed up career super middleweight. Mosley is NOT a elite fighter anymore, hasn't been since about 08
Interesting fight. Mosley was elite - Mandy wasn't, but he was very good. Mosley is past his best - So is Mandy. Mosley is 5' 8 1/2" - Mandy is 5' 11". Mosley is 41 - Mandy is 37. Mosley has recently lost against the best in the division - So has Mandy. I think Mosley still has more left than Mandy, but Mandys size will play a part. I'm on the fence for now.
Spot on, he deteriorated a long way from mayweather to Canelo, I hope he hangs them up, a mundine fight does nothing for him other than money,
