Gotta agree with most of Josey's views on these side issues. However i think the republic debate will definately be back on the agenda once Elizabeth passes away. Added to that, wld be Malcolm Turnbull getting into power over the nxt 3yrs.

P.S I found Ippy's and Josey debate so much more uplifting and interesting than the chocolate superman topic

Okay first of all Anthony is not past his peak. And i will get into this in a bit of detail to help you out. Now Its either 1 or 2 fights under De La Hoya next year, depending on if he beats Sturm, which all he needs to do is make weight.

Now do you honestly think Anthony was going out hard trying to get Hamden out of there? He wanted to drag the Clavero fight on for longer. The earlier he stops the fight, the more the cries of mismatch.

Im not confident a lot of you have seen the fight with Crazy Kim. The guy throws a solid left, and Anthony isn't concentrating and he drops his dukes, well hes going down. The corner yelled "you deserved that, now wake up", (how concerned they were about his chin). It holds up well during sparring, even when sparring high quality fighters, just a lack in concentration from Anthonys part.

Against Soliman 3 he came in with the wrong game plan. He wanted to fight Sakio over the past 12 months, but obviously Sakio had to turn that down. He wanted Kessler after the Danny Green fight, but smartly gave him the chance to unify. Why fight a tough fighter coming off a loss? The logic simply insn't there.

Now if Anthony comes in at anything close to 100% he will beat Paul Williams and i would tip him over Abraham any day of the week. Quintana beat Williams for gods sake. Also Pavlik has looked very ordinary in some fights, sure he looks strong in others, but he looks his greatest when his opponents stand there and want to train. With the right sparring, Anthonys defensive abilities will shine in such a fight.

To say he can't do anything at the top level is not remotely close to being true. Everything in the past has been to get himself ready for 2009/10. This year will define him. And everyone around him (not the crowd) will be backing him up to triumph.

I support boxers for what they do inside the ring. I didn't dump Tim Cahill as one of my favourite soccer players because he did a salute directed at his brother who assaulted someone to the point where they went blind (check that, could be a little in accurate).

I just can't see how it is a shock to you guys, that guy who runs 50 miles a week, has one of the best training routines and work ethics in the sport. And who is naturally confident. Is not going to fight top tier fighters again. Its only a matter of time. Months away now.

With the now trend of old timers wanting to jump in the ring again i wouldnt be surprised if Mundine and Green fight in say 2020 just to boost anticipation.

No point fighting now.Wait 10-20years then sell it off as a real grudge match.

By that time it will be Danny the oldfart surfy bogan Green Vs Sheik Mohommad mustafa Mundine.

Mate , listen to yourself for a minute ,

You confirm Mundine has been selecting fighters that are not fit to lace his gloves in order to grab the Aussie boxing fans PPV $$$$$$$'s then he has to carry them around a ring to make it appear he ain't fighting scrubs ,

Then you go onto slagging Paul williams and Quintana out and indicate Abrahams would be in for a hiding as well , not to mention the lame as **** excuse as to why he ducked Mundine & all he has to do is show up and make weight to beat current middle champ strum lol

Mate Mundine is in for a shock pretty soon but not as big a shock as your in for when it happens ,

Good luck though i can't fault you for your loyalty towards your favorite fighter . hope you get well soon :good

You need to see some things for the way they are Josey. Froch is nothing more then a glorified RSL fighter. Jean Pascal can't take a good shot. Shannon Taylor went 12 with Abraham. At 160, Abrahams power is vastly over rated. Pavlik is there waiting to loose. In fact i think Hopkins might do him on saturday night.

I don't think a lot of you recognize how close he is to the other top fighters. Working behind the scenes, getting the chances to watch the likes of Mikkel Kessler, Lucian Bute and Joe Calzaghe spar. Although the Calzaghe was an open training day.

A lot of you here. Actually have a deep hatred for Mundine. Yet you try to act neutral in a majority of the discussion. With that deep hatred burning deep down inside. And when the chance is here to ridicule him, like this thread, you unleash it. Im not fooled.

No ones in for a shock here. Some people are actually tipping Geale to beat him. Says everything really.

You call people glorified RSL fighters and cant take a shot?! Anthony fights Clavero, Nievas, Crazy Kim... Well what the hell do you rate them as ?!

You know what i agree you cant fight the big fight every time but that DOES NOT mean you have to PAY THE WBA to rank bums so you can fight them... Why couldnt he fight the number 1 ranked WBA as a voluntary or even the number 5 or 6.... Im not saying im an expert but i know a little something about boxing ... When you get injued the way Choc has, fight the oppositon he has, get as old as he is you lose your prime and it HAS shown in his past 5 or 6 bouts... I dont hate Mundine but im not a nut hugger either... When he FINALLY decides to fight someone who can fight back LEGITIMATELY i will support him but until then if he just wants to run around and bull**** the public he gets no love...

Oh and BTW he has NEVER been a legitmate world champion

You honeslty think Froch has a better record then Anthony.

Anthony has fought some very tough fights early on in his career.

Froch has fought 20 rsl fighters, and now thinks he deserves a big fight. Its ludicrous. I noticed how Josey laughed when Anthony demanded the winner of Pavlik - Hopkins at the De La Hoya luncheon. Well Froch is more out of his league demanding Taylor.

I can't stay around posting on here. I don't think others would think this is a wise idea.

But theres to much hate. Maybe you guys should jump in the ring with Kessler? Or Danny Green?

Anyways my brief time on here was good. :hi:

Mate your not the only one to watch top lads spar and i go to my fair share of live fights also , Froch will show you he belongs in the upper tier of S.Midldeweights come december , as for hating Mundine ? well hatred would be too strong a description for my opinion on the bolke , Sure i dislike him and his big headed arrogant attitude when in effect he has done fek all in his career to warrant him swaning around the gold coast signing autographs claiming to be the WBA champ and bullshitting people into beliving Joe Calzaghe etc are all ducking him , Hopkins won't beat Pavlik either and neither will Mundine if he ever step up to world class level again .

You don't know what your on about. I could hurl insults all day. But i think you have made your point. Which is total nonsense.

You will see some big fights over 2009/10. You will always find ways to discredit him. If you can't see a fight with Stum very soon, then your possibly blind with hate. The Golden Boy Promotions is a done deal.

Its not wise me being opinionated and posting etc etc.

Cya. Might come back on in a few months. :hi:
