HBO would lap it up. I don't see why not. It's a vast improvement on Ajamu and Hanshaw. It could be view as one last shot at glory for Jones. Jones would see the fight as winnable. I agree that the Calzaghe v Hopkins winner is in the box seat, but the fact he's fighting in Germany shows at this stage of his career he's willing to travel. I also reckon that they'd clear 75,000 easily. The Aussie public would go bananas over it. It's not beyond the realms of possibility IMO.

but those fights were not on HBO PPV they were on direct TV and they did not do 100 000 at $25 dollars, I just can't see it, why HBO would won't Green and make a fight on other side off the world , when there is these other fights like calzaghe, hopkins,Dawson,Talyor,Pavlik which HBO PPV could sell to public in America and do 400 000 and pay RJJ the money he won'ts

Maybe cos Jones isn't interested in fighting the elite anymore. The very fact he's going to fight Beyer next points to that. If promoted correctly Jones v Green would be the largest PPV in Australia's history. There'd be more money here than he'd be getting for Beyer.

I think jones would fight Green for free, easy win and easy way of getting a title ie. if Green still has it then.

You are jokeing right with this free stuff, Do you think RJJ really cares about Green title, the guy has about 10 at home all ready, Green and his people better come up with some huge money or this fight will not happen because that is all RJJ is interested in.

On a serious note what ever happened to that Zohs bloke??

When his name comes up i always think of footage of him shown on the footy show(nrl)and fatty Vautin saying whos this muppet the punching bags getting the better of him.

It just always cracks me up as the bloke was clearly a dud with next to no power or skill.

    Where are you Gerard Zohs???

Rogerio Cacciatore deserves his rematch before Sullivan. Rogerio didn't realise he was in Australia to box. he thought he was there just to clean the Carrara centre.

Because a lot more money is generated off a Pay per View event than a regular television event. Factor in that Green's mob would be willing to broadcast it on a time to suit HBO and that combined would be bigger than a German event.

I don't think HBO are going to be interested to put up the money.

Since Mundine fought Kessler in June 2005 he has had 8 fights including Danny Green. In the same period Calzaghe has had 5 fights including Evans Ashira, Sakio Bika and Manfredo Jr. It's not like he's the only guy having a few easy fights in between the decent ones.

Since losing to Mundine, Danny Green has fought Jason Delisle, Paul Murdoch, Otis Griffin and Stipe Drews. I'd put my money on Soliman or Hamdan to beat any of them four.
