Why do you think he'll beat him again Teke?

Granted Wood beat him the first time. But it's a 10 year seasoned veteran against the novice.

Surely if Mundine fights a smart tag and run fight he'll be able to win most rounds, stay on his feet and win the fight.

Do you think Wood is that good? He's just a bad style fit? Or are you thinking Choc's shot?

I dont think Choc is shot. Its a mixture of Wood being an ugly fighter who brings immence pressure, and no I dont think he is anywhere near good. A bad stylistic matchup for Mundine now and I can easily see it ending in another loss.

I happen to think Choc has been doing well over the last few considering what he has to fight with.

A focused Choc wins a rematch and the rubber but what's the point ? the only thing that can save Choc's reputation is a win at genuine world level , i reckon at Jr middle because the comp at middle is far to great a challenge for his diminishing skill set , Mundine has reached that point in his career where he can't look himself in the eye without knowing his career over the last year or so has been a shambles , the man has earned a fortune through boxing and good luck to him on that front as not many do but his career from a legacy view point is sadly lacking , something HE is all to aware of .

It just seems rediculous that a seasoned fighter of 10 years experience, whose major strengths have been evasiveness and speed, can't beat a virtually nil ring experienced punk like Wood.

Do you thing a 2009 version Mundine would beat a 2011 version Wood?

I would put my money on Garth if Green fought him at middleweight :yep

Mundine should have brought someone into his camp that had the balls to tell him he was insane to drop from 167 to 153 so late in his career. Even though he weighed in at 158 for the Woods fight the damage had been done.

Unfortunately he surrounded himself with "yes men" and knob polishers who stood by and watched the disaster unfold....sort of reminds me of the Third Reich's Russian offensive.:-(

They were doing well until Hitler became infatuated with Stalingrad, if they had bypassed it and gone towards Moscow may have ended very differently.

I agree most with this. Mundine is definitely not fighting at his ideal weight.

Having said that, nothing can excuse the fact he lost to a novice fighter that he should have defeated easily.

At this stage of his career, I really don't think he has what it takes to beat the top ranked world pros. He would be better of fighting Wood and then organizing one final big pay day against Green before retiring for good.

Mundine ran from SMW to avoid the Kessler rematch.

Then he ran from MW to avoid the Geale rematch.

Stop blaming his decision to move down on his trainers.

But didn't Ray Kelly and Flash Malcolm come on here and say that Anthony is best at 154 etc etc. Of course they did or were they just saying what they are paid to say.:yep

Empty vessels make most noise - usually when someone and/or people representing that someone starts repeating something like a mantra, it's because they're trying to convince themselves of it rather that it being a fact :yep
