Choc still commands the power of the $$$$$ anyone fighting choc know that they will be seen by more people and get paid more then fighting nearly anyone else, thats why Garth is going to QLD who else copuld he fight and get anywhere near what he is getting for this fight, Geale with a world title does bring a lot to the table but money wise a geale Mundine fight brings in more $$$$ then Geale V anyone else IMHO

True Ced. But you know where we are coming from with what we said, don't you.

But that's the beauty here Ced. If Geale wins the IBF, he legitimately doesn't need Mandy and can make defence's in Germany against the likes of Abraham and Sturm for massive $. He would make far and away more $ defending against either of those two than Mandy.

If they want to do a bout together in Tas. that would be great for Australian boxing, a good defence for Daniel (one I think he would win) and commercially viable to both so bring it on I say, but if not, I won't lose a moments sleep over it either.

Garth had to fight Mandy as there was nothing else for him that would even remotely bring those $. It was the common sense decision, but with Geale and Wood, the scenario's are completely different.

Mundine v Geale II would have been 'great for Australian boxing' in October 2009 when everybody in Australia wanted to see it to happen but team Mundine.

...instead they provided us with perhaps the biggest farce of Choc's career - a bout aginst the Argentinian running man - Alejandro Gustavo Falliga!

As Cedrick says, Mundine is the local $$$ man for any challenge. In the event that there's a slim chance of seeing him KO'd, people will veiw it, and some will continue to believe he can win.

All the same, Mandy has never won anything of the IBF World title caliber. It's an EASY defence for Geale, given the oportunity to defend.... on the proviso he wins the title in the first place.

I strongly doubt the IBF would sanction a bout with Mundine anyway.

I think people are starting to get their fill of seeing Mundine getting KTFO.

It has, for many years, put bums on seats at his fights and in the PPV orders, but another loss to the likes of Wood, even if not by KO, and the general public will realise he's shot and will no longer pay to watch him lose.

Hey, we hold the Moomba Masters waterski event there every year mate.

(granted that dry start, dry finish is advantageous though)

Mate it ain't for my sake. I'm a fan of Daniel's - yes. But I also have been quoted on here saying I would have gladly supported Mandy if he actually delivered on 1/20th's of his claims/boasts.

I can't help it that you, Ash and the other nuthuggers all swallowed Mandy's ****, I am just a realist and see his career for what it actually has been.

I notice you never dispute fact Teke, your just like Ash, rose coloured glasses of Mandy's 'achievements'.

Mate not sure enough to argue but what $$ would geale get for a defence agianst Choc in Tassie against a defence against Abraham or strum in Germany I think that my option would be to take the defence against choc for what i would think to be better $$$$ then risk it all for less Money in Germany and at this point Choc does hold a bit of a strong hand,
On another note I hear garth is going very well in training with billy and fenech and that Choc has a charity fight on the 10th of March
