from what I heard kyle may not make the main telecast will just be highlights and result shown during the show. Too many fights and if the first fight is not til 7. 30 then the main will not be til close to 11 or 11.30. I herd that canyon was knocked cold at birchy's gym and lance had to wake him so even though he is big and hits hard i think his skills may not be there might be someone to hit and move with

...that's a brilliant appetiser to the actual bout.

With the amount of rough-housing and tackling going on, is their a video referee on hand tomorrow night, you know, someone like a Bill Harrigan to adjudicate on proceedings!

The 'in-ring' referee points to the telecast panel and gives them the square outline with his fingers indicating for advisement from above?

Gus Gould screaming at the ref to make a decision!

Geez this is going to be a messy, ugly 'fight'. :patsch

I'd be prepared to watch this debarcle, but only if 'Smith & Wesson' was doing the adjudicating.

'Messy, ugly' toilet lollie is all this crap is.

Not even worth a trip to the boozer.

Great to see the Yanks think so highly of this upcoming mega fight! This will certainly help Mundine's credability when he 'bases himself in the US!' mmmmm, yeh right.

This was taken just now, directly from a leading US boxing website reporting on it -

Edit - It was Bad Left Hook.com (join them up)

    Wednesday, December 8

Main Event (Australia), 3:30 a.m. Eastern, Anthony Mundine vs. Garth Wood, Billy Dib vs. Mick Shaw.

This one's even more pathetic than the usual Mundine card.

Wood is another former Rugby player, who won Australia's version of The Contender and has never fought below super middleweight.

This fight will be at middleweight, where Mundine is moving back up for a fight and Wood is moving down.

Dib takes on a journeyman opponent, and the rest of the fights on the PPV card are bad enough that they don't warrant mentioning.

Wow.. the Yanks are really trying to sell the fight. lmao.

Contendo.. is the US website "Wikileaks"????

The only website that reports the truth.

I wonder if Kevin 'Fister' Rudd is caught up in this scandal??

Trying to put a positive slant on Mundine v Wood - and it aint easy!

Granted everyone knows it's a total mismatch that never should have happened - a 43 fight veteran with world title fight experience against an 11 fight (35 ring rounds) novice, with a loss to Ben Fetilika (who?) on his record.

    But here's the upshot:

Longshot as it might be, and some would would say impossibility:

In 1935 a rank outsider named James Braddock shocked Max Baer and the world as a 10/1 underdog winning the world heavyweight title.

Could Garth Wood tonight become Australia's own 'Cinderella Man'?

    ....I doubt it.

Compared to Baer and Braddock, these two are just good average tent Boxers, but I agree it would be one of the most popular win in Aussie boxing History.!!!

Braddock was a REAL fighter and actually had a boxing career, these two are nothing more than CLOWNS who appear center stage on the Mundine Circus show.

The story of Garth Woods is not even close to that of James J Braddock.
