Mundine has a name ?? :rofl For doing what? Getting KTFO cold by feather fisted Sven Otkke. Maybe in Oz he is well known but apart from that no body considers him to be threat to guys like Pavlik, Froch, AA, Kessler etc.

I've heard of no offers to Pavlik. But yes, this could set up a Pavlik fight. Loew trains both. Don't sleep on Lyell. He was a part time fighter until the Duddy fight. He was going to college full time. Billy is a natural 154 though in the true sense. He doesn't cut weight to fight. He says he feels stronger if he just fights at his walk around weight. He has to gain to make 155. Mundine has made 160, what, once now? He could have weight issues. Lyell won't. Both are quick without much power at 160. Could be a better fight than you think.

No, not those guys - but top 5 at MW - which is not as strong. After Pavlik I personally believe Mundine could play with the rest. The problem is that I don't know because Mundine fight shyte all the time instead taking on something real.

Mundine - go for Sturm, Mora, Williams ... stuuf like that. There is not a lot at MW. This is bad, but also good. Because it means that Mundine can be an option for Pavlik since Pavlik also doen't have anyone to fight who is half decent. Still - Mundine needs to stop the bs and get something real happening.

I see what your saying basically Mundine could pick up a strap in a weak division which is basically what he did at SMW.

It's better than fighting no-names in Tasmania?

I think he has an exciting style. I accept that he doesn't handle the very top, but he is good enough to beat many fighters in top 10 at MW. Therefore I just want to see those fights happen.

I will not see this Bobby fight no matter how good Bobby is because I don't know the guy and a win over him means zip to me. I want Mundine to fight someone with some kind of a name. Preferably in the US.

Duddy's people picked Lyell because he looked like the weakest choice on paper. Mundine hasn't exhibited much KO power of late as he is trying to move down in weight. I'm glad Lyell is getting a decent fight and hope he gets a decent paycheck out of this. Pavlik said he knew if Lyell got Duddy past the opening rounds he had a good chance of winning. This could be a good fight.

Are you disappointed your guy Pavlik did not get his gimmie against Duddy? How does a Pavlik vs Mundine fight play out in your opinion?

I heard from a well known promoter 2 offers have been tabled to Pavlik. This fight will get Mundine some Youngstown press. These two will fight sometime next year (Pavlik) mark my words.

He lost to Vanes Martirosyan, former US olympian. Mundine lopsided UD or TKO in the later rounds.

First thing I'd like to know is how many of you guys actually saw the Lyell/Duddy fight? That's important because it was the first time Lyell ever trained like a professional. Prior to that Billy Lyell was always a full time college student - part time boxer.

Billy Lyell beat the previously undefeated John Duddy because he is tough, has a ton of heart, and for 10 rounds executed a smart fight plan. Duddy looked better than ever in his previous fight with Matt Vanda. Lyell came out of his very first serious training camp, and stole Duddy's zero.

Don't sleep on Billy Lyell. He is no world beater, but he may very well turn out to be one of those journeyman who wins a lot of fights he was suppose to lose, and Mundine may be in for a long and difficult night.
