Maybe Lovemore can save Australia :hey

IBO 147 pound champion Lovemore Ndou (47-11-2, 31 KOs) has issued a challenge to former WBA 168 pound champion Anthony Mundine (38-3,23 KOs) who is scheduled to challenge Carlos Adan Jerez (38-12-3, 16 KOs) of Argentina for the WBA International super welterweight championship at the Brisbane Entertainment Center, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on June 30. “Mundine is now boxing at 154 pounds and he is scheduled to fight on June 30,”.said Ndou. “I would be happy to fight Mundine at 154 pounds. Mundine recently told the media in Australia that he is the only boxer who can beat Floyd Mayweather. I worked with Floyd as his sparring partner and I can promise Mundine he would not go five rounds with the boxer I regard as the best pound for pound boxer in the world.” Ndou added, “I will take Mundine to school and stop him inside eight rounds.”

They had a lot more than 3 weeks to find the original opponent and he was just as big a dud as this guy.

The dubious quality of the opponent is by plan, not by accident.

In the future i wouldn't mind seeing mundine take on Lovermore at 154 (that is if the man can make it of course). Lovemore meets Mundines requirements by having double digits in the loss column and he is a fighter who has boxed his entire career at a lower weight so he is ticking the boxes in that respect. He also provides a good name for the promotion. Now unfortunately he lets himself down in the KO ratio - its far too high for Mundine's liking. I can see Mundine beating him but Lovemore would at least bring a lot more to the table than a taxi driver from South America and might even pull off the upset. I'd be backing him and i might even pay for it too.

Lovemore has never been stopped and when he does lose its against world class fighters...it would be a great fight IMO.

It could be a great fight for both camps after mundine sends this cabbie to the back of the rank. As Ash said Lovemore's only losses have come against world class opposition. If Mundine gets down to 154 he will be even more feather-fisted than he currently is and Lovemore will walk forward throwing. For some stranger reason (despite the fact of Mundine's phobia of boxers with a pulse) i could see this fight actually taking place.
