mundine vs carson jones

Mundine needs a stoppage nothing less to progress

 

Boxrec had this rated as a 3 star bout yesterday and today it's up to a 4, did I miss something? Together they have only won twice in their last six fights...

How does Mundine expect to sell this fight ? Seriously will people or venue's fork out the cash for this ? He'd be better of doing the fight for free instead of trying to steal ppv money, people have had enough and if he does draw a decent name no1 will want to buy it Mundine has bled the boxing public/clubs/pubs dry with no return and keeps saying please sir may I have some more of your money? Its good that the media has woken up to this and should start giving attention to our other talent

 

Nick Walshaw in the Telegraph said this fight is less appealing than Aussie Joe Bugner in bike pants

 

Carson Jones isn't a bad opponent 2 months after the mosley fight - if Mundine had been takng fights like this on a consistent basis years ago he'd get a lot less ridicule. The problem is that he opened his mouth again and promised a top 15 opponent and then failed to deliver.

They had better get Carson out to Oz asap as he is a colorful chsracter who may be able to help sell the fight. Mundine will likely win on points but Carson can bang and box a bit so should at least make it interesting - cant imagine paying 50 bucks to watch on ppv though.

 

Look its a pretty damn good fight IMO for fight 2months after the Mosley fight and getting Jones on 3 weeks notice, ranked #25 on boxrec...But would I pay $50 to watch it? **** no !

I think Mundines next fight will show what he is about and whom he picks after Jones,the jig is nearly up

 

I hope Mundine wins, continue to call out Mayweather etc, flies to the US and gets knocked out by some woman in her 60s.

Might as well do a copy & paste, this is what i wrote on Mundines facebook when he put up the poster for the fight which advertises it as a title fight.

Pathedic matchup, #1 Mundine already holds the title, its not a world title, just an international one. #2 Jones was knocked out in his last fight. #3 Jones has fought a string of bums and really isn't much of a step up in quality, fighting guys like him wont lead to any world title fights. #4 Jones hasn't had a fight since July 2013.
