Im expecting Sturm to get past Sylvester.

Currently Anthony and Felix are in the same place, and have been around Freddie Roaches gym.

Obviously its Felixs next mandatory. And could be a voluntary one.

    So who wins?

I doubt Sturm would take Mundine as a voluntary defense. This fight will ot happen untill the summer at the earliest. Question is also if Mundine can make 160. I doubt that very much. But if he can plenty of titles should be available come summer. Neither Pavlik nor Abraham stays at MW much longer.

What happens with Choc in that respect is anybodys guess, but it likely looks a little better for him now that he's about to sign with GBP.

On topic: Well Mundine against a german defensive specialist? Haven't we seen that before?

Mundine still has yet to fight at the weight and when has got close I dont think he looked his best.

Im not so sure Sturm would take him as a voluntary either but who knows with the inclusion of GBP in the mix.

If Mundine comes in 70% he should still win. He is a lot better than Sturm at his best. But still got to see him at the weight first.

You mean against Kim? I thought leading up to and after the knock down he looked as sharp as ever.
Agreed that being untested at middle it's hard to say but I rate Mundine higher than Sturm and would be surprised if he lost.

Imo it's more of a battle for Mundine to actually land this fight rather than winning it, if he somehow gets Sturm to fight him, then the job is almost done already.
As has been said already, it also comes down to how well Mundine can handle the weight, but even though I think he's declined somewhat in the last 18 months, I still think he'll come out on top over Sturm.

I havent seen the Kim fight, but against Hamden he got hit too often.
There was a couple of times where he got hit about 4 times in a row after missing himself. Thats very unlike Mundine, who usually prides himself on his elusive, evasive skills.
I did see the punch that floored him against Kim, and again it was a punch that wouldn't have connected on Mundine a couple of yhears ago.

I do hope he isn't declining, but I have my doubts.

Yeah Pecks no doubt his defensive standards are dropping but i've been putting it down lack of intensity against lesser opponents. I might be wrong, but I would hope that he would step it up in the bigger fights (if that ever happens). In saying that he still loses to a top notch guy with a work rate greater than his, which isn't that high.

He did actually look very quick in that fight.

But putting it into context..Kim is very slow and quite limited and as brave as he was that night Choc should have put him away.

So that was opponant that was supposed to make him look good but he only end looking ok at best.

You may be right about him not getting up for opponants......but starting with Nieves we havent seen the Choc we are used to seeing, one off you can understand but a few in a row is a pattern.

All fair comments, the Kim fight was a shut out but you could argue if he's been put down twice before, solid chin or not with all Mundine's punishment he should have been put away.
I don't know if it's a mental thing for choc or not but I just have a feeling he has another level waiting for a Sturm type opponent.

To be honest I think he'll end up shitting himself in his big US debut if he has the likes of DLH watching on vs Sturm.

I just don't think he handles pressure that well, and I think he'll essentially suffer stagefright, especially if he signs with GBP and knows the whole world is watching.

I think he's made himself a nice little comfort zone fighting in his own backyard against nobodies and stepping up to the US bigtime will be too much for him.

I have similar thoughts actually. But I guess the Green fight tells us he has some ability to compose, even if Greeny helped him out a bit with that.

Anthony is not on the decline.

His skills are sharper then they have been ever. Hes a far more improved fighter then even 2 years ago.

You guys won't see this until he fights on a GBP card.

No need to think hes past his peak. Hes in great shape!
