My phone hasnt rung for 2 days I have to leave for work right this minute but Ashley has my number. Gotta run will be back after midnight.
True. Although Geale doesn't really have to worry about what Mundine is throwing. He wouldn't bust a grape at 160. So he can take his chances.
Its started...Geales camp calling Mundine a "boxing bum" Mundine saying the NRL has racial problems Danny Green calling Mundine out...again
We don't need to ask Sakio. Geale is a tidy boxer but he can't punch at all at world class level. This is an enormous step up for Geale. I will be astonished if he wins. He has fought no one at all in his pro career to date. Good luck to him as he does seem like a genuine nice person.
I think Mundine will win comfortably by UD after 12 . I have concerns over Mundines ability "to flick the switch" anymore..he hasnt knocked anyone out for a while , prob Soliman 2 fight was the last time , i think. But i think he will be too quick for Geale , I cant see Geale tagging him.So Choc wins confortably on points. Geale hasnt had the correct preperation , his last fight lasted 38 seconds and it is not the preperation for a step up in quality that Mundine is. Im trying not to sound like a Mundine nut-hugger , but i just think thats how it is going to pan out.
Choc will win it comfortably on the cards, but will have a good fight on his hands in every round...he will be to quick and put enough hurt on the shaky whiskers of Dan to edge out most rounds. Mundine steps up to the plate when is needed...we have seen these lulls in his career before, and Im pretty sure he will step it up for this one. Im still very interested in this one...a fight Mundine could lose because Geale had some of the fastest hands he has faced in a while and is well proven over 12 rounds at the weight. But I seriously dont see him dropping the ball.
Not what I'm hearing. As for how Geale is punching, Sakio is the best person to ask. If he remembers....
I remember when Dan was coming up..he was considered a puncher..Thats why quite a lot of people were excited about him, he was going through guys easier then people were expecting. His right uppercut especially was doing a lot of damage if I remember correctly. The concussive power is there..but he needs the confidence to use it. He isnt a puncher by most people's definition but its something for Mundine to keep in mind. I personally think the Gonzales fight may have changed him..caused him to be a little more cautious and revert back to his safety first amateur style.
I consider him a light-ish type puncher too. But word out of the gym is that he is punching alot harder now. And a certain contender has definately been feeling it. I don't know what you put it down to. As much as McKillop was a blow out, he did get him out of there very early. We'l see what happens Wed night. He needs to transfer the gym form to fight night and that doesn't always happen.
mundine doesnt like preasure. kessler and siaca both preasured mundine, their size and strength worried him. thornberry, sullivan (1st fight), solomon (1st fight), all worried mundine with constant preasure. stand back and box with him and he'll out speed you. which nearly happend to ottke. all these fight happened at super middle. undoubtably, mundine was still strong at that weight. this fight is different. mundine is fighting a fighter who is young, fast, fit, and at a weight where his opponent is more comfortable than himself. geale knows his strenght at that weight. has done the rounds at that weight. mundine has never been pushed at middle. never been pushed early and had his stammina tested over the rest of the rounds. geale has already made reference to mundines weight loss, and wondered out loud weather it may effect mundine. knowing that, makes me think that geale and crew are going to bring a fast pace to the fight early, bring preasure mid fight, and see what 'the man' has left in the final rounds. if it pans out this way, and mundine flags towards the end, geals so called lack of power may in fact feel like a heavyweight is beating on mundine. with no weight worries...mundine takes a points decision. .
Geale to dominate after 4 rounds as Mundine cant keep up with the pace. Looking tired and for a knock out punch having forgotten what a combination is (No.36 on the menu at Dragon Court Chinese Restaurant) Mundine will take a looping over hand right to the temple in the sixth as he again turns his back in defence...aka...the German Feather Duster Sven Otke...good night Mundine and good bye nut huggers.....I'll be straight down to the TAB to collect!!
