Kessler troubled Mundine a lot more. He kept Mundine on the backfoot and avoiding with TOO much caution.. Mundine looked relaxed for the majority of the Geale fight, even in the defensive mode. Perhaps TeamFakeBeard need to introduce a JnrSM/W division.. Or JustOverM/W division... :hey
Yeah i see your pt. I also dont think Mundine was too comfortable at that stage of his career on the inside. To me he was just an outside slick boxer.
Geale troubled Mundine more than Kessler did?! Barry Michaels must have hijacked into a couple of ESB accounts. Thats just like saying that the Tigers troubled Brisbane more last week than Manly troubled Melbourne in last years grand final. Btw, I havent seen the fight yet
I didnt think you had seen the fight. Lets just say Geale smacked Mundine a fair bit more than Kess did.
He probably did, but the very fact that Mundine went toe to toe with him, and didn't get on his bike means that he was less troubled by him. Against Kessler, Mundine fought a fight where he was basically so afraid to get stopped that he gave himself no chance of winning. This wasn't the case in the Geale fight (I assume). I doubt it's a new style either, it's more to do with the opposition. If he was to ever rematch Kessler again, I highly doubt he'd fight the way he did against Geale.
Yeah you're right but Geale still managed to land alot more when Mundine was in close. Mundine was troubled Geale. Souths to get up this week? every man and his dog are tipping them.
I'm not confident at all. We'll be without Wing and Crocker, and Crocker was the reason why we didn't lose last week. He played 90 minutes last week and was still the first player to race up and attempt to charge down field goals. Guts a machine. Canberra have been our bogey team of late. I'm glad Campese isn't playing though. I'll be on a plane going back home, so wont be able to find out the scores until I touch down in the Gold Coast. Dont suppose you can meet me at the terminal and tell me who won, yeah?
In a different way. Kessler had him going backwards, Geale had him stressed. :think It was similar to Calzaghe/Hopkins in some ways, with Geale being Cal and Mandy being Hop.
