Do you guys think the winner of Mundine - Geale should get a shot at Pavliks 2 straps, or maybe a fight with Abraham? Since its taking a long time to get an Abraham - Pavlik fight made maybe the winner of this fight should be given a shot at one of the top 2 fighters at 160 pounds :huh. Thoughts?

If the winner is actually willing to take a smaller money fight or two to get their name known in Germany or the US, absolutely. In my opinion, the winner of this fight puts themself as the clear #5 in the weight class (after Pavlik, Abraham, the Winky/Williams winner and Sturm). I'm praying that Geale wins, since he might actually leave Australia for a fight or two, plus Bumdine has looked particularly crappy lately. However, if they don't fight a fight or two against decent opposition in either Germany or the US, there probably wouldn't be enough money in a fight to make it worth their while until they can put themselves in mandatory position.

The only person I can see getting pushed ahead of Pavlik/Abrahm is Winky if he beats Williams. I would be 100% behind a Pavlik/Wright fight even if it meant by passing AA. Wright is a much bigger name and presents a much greater challenge. Mundine and Geale can get in line.

Mundine will pursue the WBA title shot against Sturm he was promised for vacating to make way for Kessler. I'm not so sure he takes that. He has some speed left, but little else. Abraham seems to be content with mandatories until he can get a fight with Pavlik. If Pavlik beats Abraham people on this board will be screaming for him to vacate and go to 168. I think Boo lays out the best option. Winky win. That would keep MW viable for a while.

I heard a while ago, if Mundine wins, Pavlik is next.

That was just Mundine talking out his arse! Does anybody besides Anthony actually believe that HBO would push for Pavlik/Mundine when Abraham and the winner of Williams/Wright will both be available? I'm with Hermit on this one. I think Mundine will try to capatilize on his position as WBA mando.

I would take anything Mundine says with a minuscule grain of salt. The guy talks out his ass the majority of the time.

IMO the winner of that fight should fight Sturm this summer...

Hopefully Winky loses, so there's just a lil chance that AA will be screwed out of the fight with Pavlik...

Pavlik should actually have to fight a quality middleweight challenger...... since beating Taylor it is something he has failed to do.

Mundine and Geale aren't quality operators, neither is Mora really.

He should stay the hell away from Abraham, Williams and Wright, because all three beat him..... Abraham by stoppage, the others on points.

I'd say the winner of Mundine-Geale is as strong a contender as anyone in the division except Williams/Wright, Strum and AA. Whoever wins would certainly be a better opponent for Pavlik than Mora, Lockett or Rubio.
